I had this wacky idea today. We have the Picture Thread for pictures of you all and all that shitty jazz and yappity yappata yadayadayada but

What if there was a thread like that, except for your pad? I think this could be fun, though I have no idea if it's been done before and if it has feel free to  correct me.

So yeah the premise is simple: show us pics/videos of your place! Fun times for the whole family.

And I will kickstart this thread with a video of my awesome place.

Though if nobody picks up on this, this thread is going straight to hell...

So what's your place look like?

I'll have to wait until my brother leaves on Friday for me to take pictures (I'd rather not have to explain that I'm taking pictures for the internet, it's best to wait until I'm home alone), but I'll totally do this.

i was thinking "wow that apt. is pretty small" but then you walked out into the rest of the house lmao.

My parent's house is pretty nice but I'm not gonna take pictures of it. I WILL post pics of my apartment once I move in if this thread is still around. here's some pics of the outside for now

and a pic of the pool which I haven't seen in person, but it looks fantastic

also I would post but too lazy to film anything and not even sure if I can transfer video anymore - plus everyone's house is instantly better than mine

yeah I know dudes I LOVE IT. it's in East Falls, one of the nicer parts of Philadelphia. it's not that expensive either! my sister's room costs about $100/month more than that and it's like HALF the size (furnished tho). If I get a room on one of the top floors I'll be able to see her highrise across town in lower north Philly.

edit: yes it is le chateau frontenac
edit: wow frontenac looks incredible!! I never saw it before.

I have a few from a previous blog that I did a while back, but it's mostly just random pics of cool possessions that I have.  I'll take some more sometime tomorrow if I get the chance.

Outside during rainy season.

Bruce Lee sculpture with REAL numchucks.

Projector television and Gamecube.

Image that projector.....projects.  That wall is about eight feet tall and maybe fifteen feet wide.

Some chicken stew I made following my father's ancient recipe that he got from a John Wayne novel.

We got lucky and snagged the projector for $300 on eBay.  It was used, but it had been refurbished and had a new bulb put in by a company that salvages electronics.  It was like brand new when we got it, but only at about half the cost.  The screen to project your movies and junk on is about $40 too, so if you're lucky you might end up like us and get the whole shebang for $350.

Congratulations on that kickass buy. I heard the bulb life for those things is really short. How often do you use it? I was actually going to build one of these for my room (http://inventgeek.com/projects/hometheater/overview.aspx) but the problem is that I need to find a cheap VGA to composite video adaptor. Ah well, a project for another time.

Anyways, I might just take some pictures of the sad little dirt hovel I call home.

EDIT: Also Rendp(x5)r, gtfo. How much a month is that place?

Listed bulb life is around 3000 hours, but that's only if you use it as directed.  By "as directed" I mean that it should not remain on for more than two/three hours at a time with at least a 15-minute cool down in between sessions.  Our bulb lasted for over six months even with a bit of abuse (4+ hours with no break).  Even if the bulb burns it still has decent quality for movies, but if you wanna hook a console up to it you'll need to make sure you're using a healthy one.

For some reason I don't have any pictures of the house I live in (I'll take some because I've got some film that I need to develop with pictures left on it) but I've got some of the house my mum got cheaply off my rich uncle! It's in Adelaide if anyone is wondering.

The view at night is pretty good!
