I twitch once in a while, yeah it's normal. But for some reason everytime I drive I always twitch, to the point that I'm closing my eyes half the time I'm on the road. I tried a google search but that didn't help.

Does anyone have an explanation to my problem?

What exactly do you mean by "twitch"? Do your arms, eyes, or what twitches? Is it your eyes? I get eye twitches often, well at least I used to. I don't get them much now! If you mean dozing to sleep, then try getting more sleep? I always drive better when I sleep more because I can concentrate more.

Sorry I meant eye twitching.

It's like, whenever drive acar my eyes go crazy and when I get out it's fine.

That is a little odd, are you nervous when you drive? Maybe the motion of the moving car is causing your eye twitching? I'd go see an optometrist, eye twitching is not good while driving!

Yeah dude if you aren't joking or something (this seems like a troll) uh, stop driving because that is dangerous.

Yesterday I had one of those quadruple-sneezes and my eyes closed for like 2 seconds on the freeway going 80 around a turn. That was fucking scary but I couldn't even help it! It's a sneeze!!
yes coulombs are "germaine", did you learn that word at talk like a dick school?

Uh... I can honestly say that I've never experienced anything like that and you should probably see a doctor!

Well, I drive slow and really carefully so I've had very very few near-accident occurrences. But now that I've had my permit for 10 months I'm pretty much incident free.

Well, I drive slow and really carefully...

Way to keep that stereotype alive. Sorry I really couldn't resist that.  :fogetnah:

Anywho...

Like Omcifer said, do you think you have some sort of nervous behavior when driving? Apart from the eye of course, I'm talking mentally. Perhaps it's a fear of getting into an accident or having to pay for repairs?

i've had eye twitches before.  wierd that it only happens while you drive tho.  how long have you had them?  it only lasted about a month or so for me, and it happened mostly in stressful situations.  and the more i thought about it the more it happened.

Does it feel like someone is sort of gently poking you in the eye, or is it more like your eyes get "lazy" and start moving around without much control? (Is it one eye or both eyes also)

I suspect its stress-related. I had a friend back in highschool who had eye twitches when she was nervous. I think she got them while driving too, but basically during any situation where she was "keyed up" or doing something that required a lot of attention.

I shared an art class with her... and on days she didn't take her medication, she was rather funny to watch. Yes I'm a horrible person.

Anyway, medications are available for involuntary twitching, but are usually reserved for the harshest cases. Does it get pretty bad? And do you notice it at other times at all?
If no one went off on tangents, we'd keep going in circles.

I used to have a problem as a kid where I would blink excessively when I was nervous. It really pissed me off because I was a pretty high strung kid.

But yeah get yourself to an optometrist, pronto.

Well, there was a long period of my life when I couldn't stop twitching. But generally it's slowed down a LOT. But like you guys say, I twitch uncontrollably in certain situations like autograph signings, comic book conventions, movie premieres; probably stress related.

As a driver though, I'm not nervous at all.

When you say 'go crazy' do you mean like they flicker from side to side a lot?
