I've stumbled upon a pretty cool flash game, not sure how new it is but I'm having quite a bit of fun with it!

http://www.crazymonkeygames.com/Pandemic-2.html

What you do is you start off with a basic virus, bacteria, whatever in a region of the world and it is your job to build it into a pandemic.

I'm still playing my first game with a strand of bacteria I've named Deadmuller. It started out with only one symptom, vomiting. It's grown a bit now and is infecting a few more people and that allowed me to add dementia to Deadmuller's symptoms.

I am almost able to add a "tier 3" symptom which I have decided will be.. INSANITY.

I'm having fun with this little sucker. I'm aiming to create some sort of zombification virus and I think this might work out! I can't wait for Deadmuller to hit China, gahaha....

Yeah, this game rules. I also like The Last Stand 2, it's basically a zombie horror game, you can find survivors and load them with weapons and shit. It is PRETTY NEAT.

Then there is the Torture Game...which is oddly amusing...

Deadmuller has killed over four billion people now. Somehow Canada is being RAVAGED but there has not been a single case of infection in the US so far.

Deadmuller is rocking because it causes: cysts, ataxia, insanity, dementia, and vomiting. It is also airborne, waterborne, and as resistant to drugs as humanly possible.

I'm really rooting for this sucker to get into the US. COME ON ALREADY!

This is pretty cool. Although, what happens when the vaccine finds a cure? Does that mean that I can't win because I can no longer infect ppl? Do I just have to keep adding symptoms and drug resistance or am I screwed?

No, I thought it would but... This is awesome... In the last game I played, the vaccine triggered my virus to mutate into a stronger version and then it promptly killed off half of the world. I eventually did it game over though, because after annihilating the countries it had spread to, it was not able to keep going for whatever reason and just died off with the infected.

What do you mean? I can still infect people if I make it stronger?

Well, I have no idea how the vaccine mutated it because I was playing pretty conservatively and trying to save my evolution points or whatever they're called. I thought I had a pretty shitty virus by the time the vaccine rolled around, but I guess not!

Also I think that if you evolve your disease while they are researching a vaccine by introducing new symptoms, it will set the progress bar of the vaccine back a bit and make it take longer.

I just went BAM BAM BAM ADD EVERYTHING and eventually (only took ~20 minutes actually) killed all of the world except fucking Madagascar. Assholes.

Yeah, I don't get how to infect Madagascar unless you start there or something.

Yeah it does take longer, but they eventually get it anyway i think....And in my last game, George W. Bush was stopped because I killed off all of Europe and Africa, and New Zealand but since they got the vaccine, I wasn't able to get outside of that region and I lost when everyone infected died.

edit: Holy shit this new game I've infected everything except Madagascar and New Zealand....and its gonna take 1700 days to get a vaccine, which is insane. But is there anyway to infect a country after it closes down its borders?

Shutting the border should just make it harder for people to infect each other, I think. There are still the transmission options such as insects, rodents, etc.

Holy shit! This is my first time playing on something besides bacteria. I'm playing on virus and it is so much easier. Your evolution points go up SO FAST.

Yeah and parasite is MEGA slow. Or maybe i'm just bad with it, but 98 days with only 23 infections. :-/

Also, I just infected the entire world with a virus except Madagascar....there must be a strategy, like making the spread of the disease slower and more stealthy.

Yeah, I try to keep my visibility down as much as I can and just let the points stack up.... But I eventually get bored and spend a bunch at once, which results in a vaccine being developed about thirty seconds later.

I kept visibility as low as possible, and buffed up resistances, made it transmittable in all ways, and made it as infectious as possible before letting visibility and death spark too high, and yet Madagascar lived.

Dude, I just infected Madagascar. Basically, don't do shit. All I did was increase the resistance to drugs to level II, then went to take a shower. When I came back, the game was 42 days in and I infected every single country.

edit:

I'm guessing your final score is based on how quickly you kill everyone?

I love killing the world with the "Stupidity" Virus.  I guess all of the intelligent people live in Madagascar.
