Synopsis: While searching for Rose's locket, Brock Lovett (Paxton) discovers the body of Jack Dawson (DiCaprio) encased in a block of ice. Jack is thawed out and found to be alive. While he is being held for interrogation with Dr. Starlet (Connelly), he escapes and makes his way into the city, where he is being tailed by two police captains (R. Lee Ermey and John Cusack). Jack learns to adapt to his new life in the future, cope with his iconic stardom and a life without Rose.

I tell you. Jack Dawson couldn't just DIE. I mean, I'M Jack Dawson! And I'm here! I'm alive! So that meant Jack had to be alive too! As one journey ends, another must begin, right? And that journey is Jack coping with a life without Rose. It's funny because it parallels what Rose's life would have been - you know, a life without Jack. So now, we get to see it from Jack's side and I think that is very, very interesting.

When he [James ][/James] asked me if I wanted to reprise my role as Jack Dawson, I got so excited, I started to get frantic! So James and I sat down to write the script and 20th Century Fox reviewed it and gave us the green light.
