closest thing to god, ds? this is why big music fans get on my nerves.
anyway i had a similar experience a couple of years ago when i realised that the red hot chili peppers stole a couple of their more famous songs like dani california, and ripped off a few bands in songs like give it away. i was getting less enamoured with them at the time anyway, but i guess it was a little deflating so i can sympathise with people who are disappointed in the band. i mean, i don't like porcupine tree very much but this is really pretty surprising. it does totally just ruin all of their music, if the plagiarism is as extensive as they are being accused of. plus, why now and not before?
this is probably the worst conduct you can display if you are a musician. it's the musical equivalent of nike's overseas sweatshops. but still, it's just music so the music is still there if you like it. i'd feel pretty lame if i had given the band any money.
what a loser!
