yes, on to busy-ness...
well, I am almost finished with my speed run through FFX-2....yes, many haters for that game, inlcuding my Tomato (aka Dosmaen) but
I freakin' love it. I understand why a lot of people don't like it though and I respect that opinion. Anyways, I have run into problems because I missed a dress sphere that would allow me to just be a killer fighter, so....meh....kinda lame but, hey.
Now, a running list of games I either love or are just starting get into:
1. The Sims series. Love it. True, some particular games suck (i.e. Urbs, Pets [for ][/for] and a few others.)
2. The Final Fantasy series. Love it/getting into it. Love: X, X-2, IX (what I've played of it). Getting into: V, IV, XII, I. Hate: VIII. Never played: II, III, VI, VII, XI. I wish I could get into Chrystal Chronicles (if I could have my friends join a party with me). I own it but the beginning is sooooo hard without a party!
3. Mario series. I mean, come on. Mario: 'Nuff said.
4. Pikmin series. Sooo cute and awesome.
5. Tekken series. And pretty much any other fighting games (Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, Soul Calibur.)
6. Spyro series. Again, a love-hate potiential from other gamers, but hey. Wait, I must clarify something: I HATE the new Spyro games, such as Eternal Night. It is waaay to different than Spryo, Ripto's Rage, and Year of the Dragaonfly. Even Dragonfly was kinda wonky in comparison but I still like it.
7. Tony Hawk series. Like a few games listed prior to this, it is both loved/hated and has crappy individual games.
8. Star Wars games. I am very picky about this genre, though. For examples, I love: Bounty Hunter (for Playstation 2) even though it is so damn hard! Knights of The Old Republic I (for PC) because the story line is great and diverse despite being a systems game. Battlefront (for X-Box). I am absurdly good at this, despite my general distaste for first-person shooters, a genre which I avoid.
YES, THIS DOES INCLUDE HALO!!! I ESPECIALLY HATE HALO!! Super Star Wars (for SNES), lol. Yes, I have played this and you gotta love it. Golden oldie! Star Fighter (for Playstation 2) would have been awesome if I had had long enough to get used to the flying aspect.
9. Pokemon (for the Gameboy line). I played this when I was a kid. I will still play Yellow Version, though. Pikachu is great!
10. Fable (for X-Box). Don't know why so many people hate it. I love it, though. The game play and idea are pretty great. The name system is really nice and can be funny. I was married so many freaking times. The inclusion of sex was very startling and amusing (I had never read a review before I played it, FYI.)
There ya go, golden. Anything else?
