Yeah pretty much. Circa Survive's vocalist makes their music almost unlistenable to me.

I honestly think that Anthony Green is one of the most talented vocalists of the last decade or so. He sings with such a passion, it's impossible not to feel it. His range is unbelievable. I can see how his voice might grate on some people's ears, but I adore it. Circa Survive isn't my favorite project of his though.

I think he does a phenomenal job in this song.

I don't hate his voice, but I don't like the music itself that much.

this band sounds like they will just be forever vamping linkin park with some silly moogerfooger effects and distasteful static uptight drumming and bad vocals.

this is a pretty terrible post and I probably deserve a warning but I feel like this needs pointed out.

I don't really see where you get "vamping linkin park with some silly moogerfooger effects" that is pretty inaccurate.

A more valid criticism of them would be that the guitarist is constantly playing arpeggios arpeggios arpeggios and theres really no variety to the songwriting.  But they don't really sound like linkin park or even a contemporary of linkin park at all.

Also I don't think the vocals are BAD, I just think the songs aren't that great.  I could see myself enjoying him as a singer if they just wrote cooler shit.

Yeah, I downloaded their latest abum.  They are pretty inept songwriters.  The sound has a  lot of potential imo and they do like one cool thing here and there, but yeah imo i wont listen again.
