I learned a long time ago that the music forum isn't for discussing your favourite music, it's for dissing everyone elses music tastes. It's also mostly a big circle wank over whatever seems to be popular among the inner circle these days. Oh well!

Eh, I dont think its for dissing everyone else's tastes.  I've seen equal parts agreement and disagreement on "X band is good" subjects.  Its just for discussion in general and people are going to dislike/like everything.

I just want to make it clear that at no moment I dissed Blitzen's taste in music, and that I only highlighted Blitzen's ignorance of the word "punk".

Dogchode, I think there is progress. Blitzen now knows what he listens is not punk and that he was been under a facade all this time which I bravely and courageously took responsability to unveil.

I'm glad you're having fun but this was honestly one of the worst and most irritating topics I've read here, mostly because of that whole pedantic debate about whether this constituted punk. It's pretty funny since I called the Monkees punk in a topic just to fuck with people and no-one called me on it at all whereas most of these guys are at least recognisable as some variation on the emo/hardcore sound, so yeah...

Also Blitzen there was a topic a while back about hardcore that mentioned a few of the bands here so check that out I guess: http://www.gamingw.net/forums/index.php?topic=5543.0. I can't see the appeal in these guys at all though. The Blood Brothers are pretty much the only screamo band I can tolerate, and by all accounts they're regarded as sellouts by the other bands because they decided to make music that didn't completely suck balls and actually tried to progress their sound from just being duddaduddaduddaduddadudda*grating soundalike vocals* so take that as you will I guess.
