I kinda think it looks cool and fun. It's a different sort of fighting game and unlike Dirge of Cerberus, this is a platform that Square knows. I like how they mixed a KH-style with FF-commands, especially Tidus Overdrive; I can only assume that the other characters will have their respective Limit breaks etc.

I'll also assume that we'll see areas like Midgar, Balamb Garden and so forth since they added the Blitzball stadium in the Tidus vs Jecht battle.

Can't really understand why people says it looks like shit. It's different. Had it been a standard fighting game with the FF characters people would have whined about that most likely (much like they did with Ehrgeiz). I'll remain positive for now.

i mean yeah nobody but the ff guys were appealing but

there was a strange story mode that had nothing to do with ff and is something i'd like to see more in fighting games

it was basically an adventure with the game's fighting engine (which worked because it was a kind of open engine, sorta like bushido blade except not really)

If Square would actually learn from their mistakes and improve upon their strengths, they could make some really awesome games. I mean the concept in itself isn't exteremely terrible, but holy shit, everything else just falls apart. You'd think a company as old as Square could take the formula and make something awesome, among the likes of Marvel vs Capcom 2 or Super Smash with this, but guess not.

Wow. Honestly, I had high hopes for this. I was going to buy it and everything. Now...? I dunno. One hit kills with a finish move... That game looks like a race to get the first limit break and then win. Kinda gay.
