I asked ATARI to bring this topic back to where it belongs since it is extremely RPG-centric.

Drule, if you read this and want a request topic for indie games, then I'd be more than happy to help you out with that. RPG Maker games are not "true" indie though, or at least not in my opinion since these games are all being made in a game creation program that practically gives you a game template to begin with.

Anyway yeah, that's how it goes.

Oh yes, please!

One of my friends is searching for "Velsarbor", but translated in English.
(I've got the French one, what's OK for me, but not for him.)
Does anyone know where to find it?

There is no English version.

If there was, we would all have it.

(I didn't know there was a French version though)

You most probably know better than me, Segnin.
I was absolutely sure that I'd heard about an English version though... :hmm: Oh well.

For those who could be interested, the french version can be found here:
http://www.rpg-maker.fr/index.php?page=jeux&id=418 (french site)
Be warned that there is a problem with the font  that made all the accentuated letters replaced by...cyrillic ones!
It can be a bit harder to understand for non-native french speakers.

I've got a nice one for y'all.
What I'm looking for is a crappy-made fan-sequel of Golden Sun, in which the main characters somehow end up in Disney (and Hamtaro) world. It used battle-animations which were direct edits from the Legion Saga 3 ones, and was filled with bugs that made it impossible to finish. I had a lot of fun playing it, dunno why. Maybe because I could fix every bug I found. I can't think of the name though, but if anyone has it, they'll recognize the description, methinks.

SegNin I remember in some recent topic where Dogchode asked you for some obscure games, and you gave this big list of them. I can't find said topic due to the GW change. Is it possible for you to post it again?

Ralph I think I know what your talking about.. Not totally sure. I think that was that Golden Sun 3 game made awhile back that we couldn't find a working link or person with the game.

Sorry, but I don't have the list, and I can't remember now which games were on that list.
Not that it makes much difference since more than half the links were dead--which is weird since they were working just a few months ago.

I can't even remember which sub-forum that thread was in, or what the thread was originally about now.

I just know it was one of the last threads before everything got archived.

Maybe dogchode has the list, since he's the one who asked me to recommend some underrated/obscure games.

This is all I could find about an RPG Maker game called Golden Sun 3:

Not even sure if it's the one you're talking about.

EDIT--
Golden Sun 3 was released back in 2003:

After 6 years, It's doubtful anyone still has it.
Still, you never know...

Man that is a shame SegNin, I knew I should have copy pasted the list in some notepad document

Another rare game request that popped in my mind is the demo: Wings of Origin (WoO), by carius, he seems to want to forget that game ever existed or something so it's not on his main site

It was a request for an RPG Maker game, and it ended up becoming me making a passing mention about Segnin's seemingly massive cache of RPG Maker games and he himself eventually reccomending obscure games to Chef (not necessarily rare games). Sides only like maybe a third of those games were any good at all. One of the games on the list was Cognitive Dissonance - Between Two Times, I remember that one because I actually liked that one.
A tool is a tool regardless. I mean if you suck, you suck, and not even the most perfect tool could save you. And if your damn good then even with the worst tool ever conceived you could chug out some high quality shit.

I do have Golden Sun 3 SOMEWHERE but I have a feeling it's buried in a drawer somewhere. :(

If you can find the time to look for it, you have my ETERNAL gratitude.

Plus, it's a very nice example of pure mediocrity in RPG maker games.

Yeah that was the right one Segnin. The game that we just couldn't find.

As for Wings of Origin.. I remember that but I'm pretty sure all he released of it was the intro. Might even be on his site Divine Elegy.

Edit - Nevermind it's not on his site. But I found it here, didn't check the download as I'm at my course right now so here.

Your best hope now then would be if someone comes in here and uploads it for you. Sorry man, but you could pm Carius for it, he still might have it somewhere.

Coastercraft Gold

The FileFront link is broken. Apparently most (if not all) of the FileFront links are broken.
