I can't believe how stupid Peter Petrelli is!!!!!!! Couldn't he just use sylar's power and figure out what his dad was going to do???

Man, he thought his father died, didn't know he was alive. He didn't know what his powers were (if he had any) and I think he was confused alltrough.

Why doesnt Hero just freeze time when he decides to actually play the part of a hero, and same with peter... why didnt peter just freeze time, walk into the building filled with his dad and villains and take his time to look around and scope the place out.

If Hero decides he needs to find someone, or get something done then I dont understand why he doesnt freeze time and do what ever he needs getting done while time is frozen... Anyways I still love the show!

*Hiro.

Peter apparently never uses the freeze shit anymore.

Also it's kinda obvious he was angry and shit and didn't feel like thinking.

Yeah i get he was upset but he was smart enough to become invis when walking into the building... why not just simply freeze time?

Half the time it seems the characters with lots of powers only ever use the same 3-4.. when theres another power they have which would be more effective in the situation.

It would be a nice turn-out if Adam was actually one of the good guys all along.

Think about it. He knew Peter Petrelli and his powers and his plan to become ultimate evil.

Adam was locked up for a time (maybe preventing that Arthur could get his hands on him).

And after that he tried to release the Shanti virus, which if I recall correctly, takes powers away (getting rid of power resources for Arthur).

It would be so nice if they putted in this twist.

I thought that virus in the last season just killed regular people and would only leave people with strong enough abilities to survive its effects like Adam himself could... Hmm maybe I should re-watch the last season lol

I could've sworn someone else had a freezing power, like before the triplet showed up. It might have been either future peter or sylar. If it was future Peter that had freezing, he must've gotten it from the triplet, but he hasn't even met her yet and can't copy powers anymore. Maybe future Peter gets his dads ability and stole all those powers. idk

Sylar got the freezing ability from an unknown victim and used it to kill Molly Walker's dad.

@aztec: Yea Sylar had Freezing in one of the alternate futures as well, so that future ceases to exist.

Oh, I forgot he also had it in Season 1 I guess if he used it to kill Molly's dad.

Ah, that's what it was. I guess there can be people with the same power, like Isaac and Africa guy.

Yeah, but Adams power is a little more advanced than Claires. He doesn't age. We don't know if Claire doesn't age though I guess.

"Adam Monroe seems to have lived for centuries without aging significantly. Angela Petrelli confirms that this is an effect of his ability (Cautionary Tales)"

I don't think Nathan is actually part of the family, he might be adopted. Arthur passed on his power stealing abilities to Peter and Sylar by way of passing his genes to them probably. But Nathans ability is flight, and his power was given to him. Claire probably got her power from given to her by them taking Adams blood and extracting the DNA from it or whatever and implanting it in her.

So it seems the person with the initial power has a more powerful form of the power, and those who get the powers from the initial person (by the powers being given to them, or by way of genetics) is more diluted.

the powers given to people are completely unpredictable though, as evidenced with mohinder and niki/tracy. also im pretty sure claire was born with her power, she also would eventually get to a point where she doesnt age, maybe she is just at that point right now and we dont know

Mohinder can't really be included, since he didn't really perfect the powers. Do we know who Claire's real father is? I totally forgot a bunch of stuff from the past 2 seasons, but I don't remember them saying who the father was. Maybe it was Adam and she got her genes from him? That would hold up to the family genetic power stuff.

But... your theory of Sylars ability not really being a power might hold true. When he first went to Mohinder he was told he didn't have any powers. Peter might just end up crackin' his skull open and getting his powers back.

Haha, aztec, even if you didn't remember the first two seasons you could have known that.

Claire is the daughter of Nathan Patrelli and Meredith.

She called Peter, uncle more than one occassion this season.

I have a theory towards the intention of peters dad now that ive seen his powers.... Im guessing he may want to allow everyone in the world to recieve powers so he can then steal any unique and powerfull abilities which may show up in someone... 6 billion people in the world, hes bound to find a few extremely powerful abilties.. Maybe he has some sort of god complex and hopes to gain enough powefull abilities to make him god-like?

Im guessing he doesnt plan on destroying the world by giving powers to normal individuals but with so many potential possible powerfull abilities which could appear he may just lose control of what he intends to do thus opening earth up to a world full of people with powers.

Anyway im sure we will find out in the next few episodes...

I thought it was interesting that Mr Patrelli could read minds. Remember how back in season 1 Mrs Patrelli seemed to understand Parkman's ability - what if Mr Patrelli stole her own mind reading ability? :O

Wait, did they mention or show Peter's dad before sometime? Or was the end of the last episode his first appearance/mention?

My memory's bad, plus this show is convoluted as anything.

They mentioned in the first season by the mum that their dad killed himself cause he suffered from depression I believe, its only until now in the third season that we had any idea the their dad was still actually alive.
