Good grief, so many things going on! Like seriously...

-Peter is trying SOMETHING to fix the future, and somehow needed to know how THINGS worked to get it done... I don't understand really... but he's in a coma
-Ando is DEAD?! That was strange... one second Hiro is like "we gotta have Heart! And save the world!" next second, "KILL ANDO!"
-Clair's mom is fighting a dude with the ability to MIRROR IMAGE his enemies? (creative power)
-Mohinder... what is he up to! Webbing people around like that!
-Clair and Sylar and the Noah Bennet are after the escaped Level 5 guys are still on the loose, how many are there?
-Matt Parker is in Africa, looking at the future! Where's this going?
-The speedster has teamed with with FEAR MAN and Hiro to gather Mr. Petrelli's army! Insane!
-Nathan and Tracy are trying to figure out their purpose... what's the mom hiding?!
-Whatever happened to Electricity Girl? Not to mention Claire's flying boyfriend from season 2? And Noah... of the future?

As you can see, this show is having 9, NINE, subplots occuring simultaneously. And I might have missed one or two!

These episodes of Season 3 are really doing something odd: they're taking protagonists to the story, and making them antagonists:

-Peter seems to have become a villian of sorts
-Sylar seems to have become a good guy, ...or atleast on the PATH of doing so.
-Hiro just killed Ando... he can't be a villian can he?
-Mohinder has totally lost it!

And now it seems to main big bad guy is Peter's father... I'm hooked on the show, but yes, it's definitely going haywire!

Quote
man i'm watching this show and it just gets worse and worse.  i mean it, this last episode was LAUGHABLY BAD and this is some of the worst plotting i have ever seen in anything that progresses in story arcs.  it is like a show where they're going off the air and the writers are in a blind panic except... i don't think that's happening so i guess they're all just a bunch of hacks.
Despite the show being difficult to follow, I'm sure the writers know where they're going with each episode. It'll take some time for it to all culminate. I felt like this when I was watching LOST, with it's million and one mysteries! They're slowly explaining things, and they'll do so here as well. It's just how complex shows are. When you have 30 main characters, it can't NOT get insane like this.

Also, on a side note, Brea Grant, who plays Daphne (Speedster) looks a LOT like one of my friends!

If she changed her hairstyle, she could be a double!

Hence the name of this season.

Villains.

OoOo, haha I totally forgot about the title of the volume. I guess when I first saw it, I was entirely fixated on the idea they'd be introducing brand new villains (some of which they do).

I think Hiro did his whole time stopping thing and like switched his sword with a sword that had a broken tip and put fake blood on him or something. Hiro wouldn't just kill ando.

HAhaha, yes! I knew he wouldn't kill Ando. But why didn't Daphne see him do it?

poor Adam :(

Guess he got better at it...

Peter's dad has got an interesting power, even if it's very similar to Peter's and Sylar/Gabe's. Speaking of which, I'm liking Sylar a lot more as a character now that he's straddling the good-or-evil thing.

Anyone catch a good glimpse at the four villains in the African guy's hut?

making peter's dad almost exactly like rogue is an interesting way to take the empath category. those three (sylar/peter/arthur) and claire/adam are probably the strongest heroes we've seen so far, but i am wondering if they'll make anyone stronger

Except he takes your powers forever. I was gonna say that Sylar would sacrifice himself and let Peter open his head and get all those powers again, but... he doesn't even have Sylar's power anymore. Damn I didn't see that coming. I guess Sylar will have to be the hero. God, Mr. Petrelli can't die unless Mohinder or someone actually comes out with a cure and injects him with it.

Yeah, I didn't even put the connection together that there powers are similar until now.

i actually wouldn't be surprised if peter still had sylar's power (maybe that is why it was needed?), because it has more to do with the brain than like dna or whatever the other ones are based off of. i'm also wondering if he still has his empath powers

either that or mr petrelli has the hunger thing now

Well, I read some articles on HeroWiki that Sylar's powers were never detected. When he was examinated they only found his Telekinetic powers.

It could be possible that Peter still has the Sylar power indeed.

Was it just me btw, or did Peter had better control of his power this episode.

Whatever it is, I love this show more and more, loose ends are about to fit in the context.

Btw, was I the only one who expected that Arthur had these kind of powers?

I had no idea Arthur could steal your powers. I just thought he had some kind of fear inducing power that made you obey him. Oh snap, I guess he can go back in time now also.

Well, the minute it was clear that everyone was scared for him (even Adam) made me think of his ability. When it was said that Sylar and Peter were brothers and even more important, Nathan didn't have any powers to begin with, it was easy to do some calculations.

It makes it pretty obvious, when you think about the fact that Peter and Sylar, both have powers that involve gaining powers from other people, that their father should have something similar to that too.

The only thing I'm still wondering about, is the when and how he discovered his powers. It wasn't mentioned in the comics.

An other minor edit: Doesn't Arthur wants all those people to gather their abilities to. It would make sence that when he doesn't need the people anymore, he steals the powers.

Next to that, why did Adam die? Yes, he lost his ability, but at that point he still had his young cells in him. It would make more sence if he would just age from that moment on.

Maybe they'll have a flashback episode that goes over all the stuff the oldbies did in the past and why Mr.Petrelli turned evil and crap. I say they end up disabling him and using him to take away powers of people who don't want there powers, like Mohinder wanted to do.

like i said before, i think arthur's power is almost exactly like rogue's from xmen, in that when he touches people he kills them and takes their power, but he is still able to take their power while almost killing them, and then he can let go and they get better

i'm wondering if the transfer is temporary like rogues or not, but it seems that his isn't.

I think the reason Adam died and turned into a zombie/skeleton/dust is because he's like a thousand years old. And the only reason he was still alive and young looking was all because of his powers. so when his powers were taken away, he aged to his thousand year old age almost instantly. I don't think Arthur can kill people by absorbing their power unless its a circumstance like Adams.

I can't believe how stupid Peter Petrelli is!!!!!!! Couldn't he just use sylar's power and figure out what his dad was going to do???
