Johnny Depp to star in more Disney projects, including "Pirates 4"

No more Pirates please.. it's been done. The 2nd and 3rd films were really poor. I thought Depp had a bit more integrity than this. Move on!

A Fear and Loathing 2 is sounding more appropriate at this point.

Wow, is he happy with the money or something? Those are some pretty terrible choices.

Pirates 4, it's like a never ending nightmare.

Oh great so there's more Pirates, Tim Burton is going to ruin Alice in Wonderland, and Johnny Depp is playing goddamn TONTO.

The future's lookin' good.

What's with all the hate?

I assume nowadays I'm the only one still enjoying Johnny Depp and his performances. To me he's such a damn versatile actor and he can pull off nearly anything pretty good. And even more so if he has a good director around.

Of course all my opinions are null and void becuse I also happen to enjoy Tim Burton and hell, overall I even liked Pirates 3. Pirates 4 seems somewhat like a bad idea, but I can also see it as a decent idea depending on how they do it. They should definitely go with a spinoff title for it, possibly make it into an animated film. Another option is going for prequel, but the sequel/spinoff was setup in Pirates 3 so I suppose they can go that route.

And who doesn't like pirates anyway?

This is what society gets for keeping Tim Burton so sucessful.

I mean come on, if not now, then you had to have seen it coming at some point down the road. Frankly, I'm suprised he tackled Charlie and the Chocolate Factory first instead of this.

I'm not too sure I'll like what Tim Burton would bring to Alice in Wonderland. It'll probably end up like that uber-goth PC game "Alice". Even so I like Tim Burton, I like Alice in Wonderland even more... so... -sigh-

Well you know. Tim Burton COULD suprise us all with an Alice that is more like Big Fish than Corpse Bride. The fairytale-esque feeling that Big Fish had would be pretty spot-on for Alice (or what I know of Alice anyway since my experience of Alice is a couple of chapters and the previous Disney movie).

After all it's an animated Disney film, written by the same person who wrote Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King. I think the film can be a pretty good kids' movie. It will probably have the typical Burton light/dark juxtaposition but, seriously, when was that ever a bad thing?

I think they should just stop doing Pirates, three movies is enough. The third one wasn't half bad though, I enjoyed it.

I thought he died at the end of Pirates 3...

If he didn't, there is absolutely no reason for anyone to believe they'd stop at 3, since the pirate movies are all like top 10 box office movies.

I'm looking forward to this alice and wonderland though, as well as American McGee's wizard of oz.

I enjoyed the third one, it was a little chaotic story-wise but it was still enjoyable. And without Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley this is going to be good.
