I need some help in Book of three.

I just started playing Book of three, a rm2k game made by Lysander86.
It´s based on the book by Lloyd Alexander.

The problem:
I have reached the part where Gurgi is supposed to escape from the King Eiddileg`s dungeon(a dwarf).
But I can´t get past the statue that spots Gurgi when he tries to get past it(at which point I have to start
all over again. I can´t get past the upper orb in the second room either.
So, how do I get Gurgi out of the dwarf dungeon, to rescue Taran and the others?

Wherever I go, I´m spotted, and is then sent back to the beginning.

Please help.
