Anyone else looking forward to this? It's basically a Survival Horror/Action set on a space station, with you as the only survivor plus a hellish amount of aliens. The game itself looks like doom 3, but a lot more fun, as you also have Zero G areas and other gimmicks, aswell as some of the most entertaining deaths ever. Anyone feel like having themselves turned into many pieces by a big old fan?

It seems that the extent of weaponry extends to you and your weedy little weapon, along with nades and maybe some other guns.

coincidentally i was looking at this game last night. i don't really know what to make of it but it looks like the kind of stuff i like and not too dumb, either. it might still be, but i watched an interview with the main producer guy and the things he was talking about made it seem like they were going for a little more than guns, aliens, BOO! so yeah i will keep an eye on this and maybe get it at some point.

I've also heard that in order to kill the aliens, you have to dismember EVERYTHING. And your weapon upgrades (or gets different ammo or something)

One of the games I want for PC along with Left 4 Dead and Fallout 3

Yeah, I think I'm going to get this for 360 on release. It seems pretty interesting and I probably couldn't run it on my PC if I wanted to...

That’s right, you have the young gaming with the old(er), white people gaming with black people, men and women, Asian countries gaming with the EU, North Americans gaming with South Americans. Much like world sporting events like the Wolrd Cup, or the Olympics will bring together different nations in friendly competition, (note the recent Asian Cup; Iraq vs. Saudi Arabia, no violence there) we come together. The differences being, we are not divided by our nationalities and we do it 24-7, and on a personal level.

We are a community without borders and without colours, the spirit and diversity of the gaming community is one that should be looked up to, a spirit and diversity other groups should strive toward.

So pretty much fighting RE4 regenerators enmass is the basic concept. If you've played RE4 it's those heavy breathing guys whom don't die if you just shoot at them.

A tool is a tool regardless. I mean if you suck, you suck, and not even the most perfect tool could save you. And if your damn good then even with the worst tool ever conceived you could chug out some high quality shit.

IIRC you had to shoot regenerators in specific places that you used the thermal scope to see in order to kill them? If that's the case then no. I think it's like every monster type has different dismemberment requirements. One type if you cut off its head it'll die and if you cut the stomach a bunch of smaller faster monsters come spilling out.

Anyway I think a sci-fi survival horror with great graphics is long overdue.

Doom 3 came to mind as I was reading the OP too. Guns, demons and space. What an original recipe.

I have seen a few videos of this and it looks pretty cool. I probably won't get it though because I'm poor and there are other games I want more than this one anyway.

OK... it is a ~~FPS~~ TPS so guns are a given, they are not Demons, and I don't know about you but space is awesome.

Add Prototype to that list (it's coming out in April I think) and that's pretty much it IMO.

It really is actually very different. I've been watching the development of this game for some time and I think it has classic potential.

I didn't say anything about 360, I don't even own one. I don't really know what games are coming out on it! Anyway yeah, I want LittleBigPlanet and Fallout 3 more than this one and that's two games coming out really soon and I'm really poor so I couldn't afford this even if I wanted to, probably can't afford Fallout 3 either. There are other games I want too and I have played lots of FPSes lately so I don't really feel like buying another one now anyway, as cool as Dead Space looks.

I'm torn as well. It does look kinda fun, but at the same time... not my cup of tea. My work buddy is raving about this game almost as much as I rave about LBP. I guess I'll buy it. Probably watch a friend play it though.

Apparently there's an anime that released / releasing? soon. If memory serves right, the Bluray of it has cheat codes. But so does gamefaqs. so who cares.

This game looks great, I've wanted to play it since I first read about it. Its supposed to be out, but my town is incredibly lame and none of the department or game stores here have received any copies and probably won't until friday, Which isn't too much of a delay but still. Either way, definitely going to pick this up.
