Crap...  I'm stuck at the  Mecha-Drago, and absolutely cannot kill it.  Guess I shouldn't have skipped all those battles on the way there...

Also, I can't get the rhythm for the combo attacks.  Either I get a one or two hit combo, or I get a 9-12 hit combo.  I can't combo consistantly...

how do you get that present that the ultimate chimera is guarding btw?

Alright, I got to the end of Chapter 3, and I can safely say I'm hooked.  However, my friend is dumping the ROM to a cart for me, so I'm going to wait until I can get that from him.

I was talking with friends via Skype while I was playing this, and they thought I was on drugs when I was explaining some enemies (Pigface's, Mr. Passion, and Pork Tank specifically)

Edit:  Jealous Bass boss is kicking my ass...  His first attack kills Boney, and his second turn Lucas dies.  EVERY TIME.   If only Lucas was a little faster...

Keep it up man. That boss beat my face pretty hard too. Just persevere, since the save point is pretty close anyway, and if all else fails, try grinding a bit. Since the save is close to a zone with loads of enemies, you can grind without ever healing, just choosing to continue everytime you die. I think this series is the only jrpg series to keep exp/levels when you die and choose to continue.


As a downside, if you continue after dying, you don't get items you use in that fight..

The only thing you lose is money that isn't deposited into your account (Half I think? I never died with money on hand)... which is pretty great.

I uploaded a remastered version of one of my favorite songs in the game for you all. It's from the Mother 3i OST which has a handful of hi-quality renditions of songs in the game, but not all of 'em. Definitely look into finding it if you like the music in the game.
