So, Gaming World. I need your help. I'm 6'6" and I weigh in at 152 pounds. I'm severely underweight. My goal is to gain 80-100 pounds, and to do so in under 6 months. Not fat though, I want to gain muscle weight. How would I go about doing this? I've looked around online but people are only interested in LOSING weight, not gaining it. I've talked to nutritionists and they've told me to drink Pedialyte (or however it's spelled) and eat red meat and chicken, while consuming a high calorie diet. The security guard where I work used to play football for CSU and he told me that when his coaches wanted him to gain weight, he consumed 8,000 calories per day. I wanted to try this, but the problem is I have limited amounts of time, because I have either school and/or work everyday, so it's difficult to set aside times to just chow down that much.

Not only this, but I'm on a strict budget because I need to get my Jeep back out of the shop and it's expensive to get everything I need on it, so I don't have much money left over, therefore I need a variety of food and drink that can help me to gain weight without making my wallet lose weight (so no truffles). Any help would be greatly appreciated, and 6 months sounds absurd, but it's been done before in even less time. Thanks!
Put some sand in my roommate's sheets today... :gwa:

goota bulk up. gotta bulk up for the big game. gotta put some meat on those chicken legs

get a big weight, a giant weight, like a bucket of wet sand or a tyre of concrete or whatever you can find,  one that you can lift maybe 2 times max with each arm. every second day, pick it up once in the morning, slowly, once with each arm. then hold it in front of you and squat with it.

drink a good amount of water every day, but not enough that you have to pee a lot. avoid doing lots of small things quickly, prefering a big thing slowly. move and think bigger, you will become bigger.

as long as you eat a reasonably balanced diet, these tips will bulk you up a couple of kg's in 2-3 weeks or you're doing it wrong. try to eat slowly, if you don't have time then eat higher energy foods (peanut butter is great for this) slowly rather than lots of low energy foods quickly.

You can use criotine if you're weightlifting. Its just for that, gaining weight/muscle while lifting weights.

It kind of feels like this is your problem in the first place.  You're probably underweight because you're not eating properly, and it's probably because you don't set aside the TIME to eat properly.  Eating right is really important dude, you need to make time for it.

80-100lbs still seems like too much for 6'6".  don't you wanna be like 210 for that height?  i could easily be wrong here since i know nothing at all about this stuff but yeah, what you're going for seems like it'd end up being pretty husky.

Yeah, just go to 210lbs dude. Weighing 250 lbs and standing at 6'6" is not exactly a pleasant thing, and I'm speaking out of personal experience here. Eat lots of red and white meat and lots of salad and WORK THE FUCK OUT. Seriously. Unless you actually want to gain lots of body fat aswell, for which the only advice I can give you is to have an unbalanced diet and eat without a schedule, whenever you feel like it. Oh and try eating junk food, although you should watch out, addiction is a really shit thing too.

Just take in more calories dude.  But you don't want to eat lots of fatty crap like red meat because you will be unhealthy :(  If you want to get lots of calories in without spending lots of money, eat lots of carbs - pasta, cereal, and especially rice are all pretty cheap.  Red meat, on the hand, isn't!

eat a lot more, and lift weights. if you're doing enough exercise while eating enough you'll gain weight as muscle rather than as fat.

idk for sure, I guess I meant that statement more towards the red meat thing as there have been a significant amount of studies linking red meat to cardiovascular disease, forms of cancer, diabetes and a few other diseases. I've read that too much chicken (or too much high protein period) can give you kidney stones if you aren't getting enough water, but beyond that I don't think there's nearly as significant a danger.

When you're working out make sure and lift as much weight as you can, and do less repetitions.

210 pounds for 6'6" is like the bordering on slightly overweight. You can check your bmi here: http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/

your ideal weight is like, 170-200, and 152 lbs is a "normal" weight, so you don't need to gain THAT MUCH dude, i would say 20-30 lbs is probably good, and it's not too hard to gain 20 lbs of muscle mass.
yes coulombs are "germaine", did you learn that word at talk like a dick school?

it's not necessarily bad for the heart but you can run into some problems such as:

Basically just don't eat massive amounts and don't cook them at super high temps.  Chicken is a lot better than some other meats though.
The thing with meat and kidney problems is that meats are high in protein and you don't need super mega amounts of protein and any excess protein you have your body won't use but your kidneys still break them down into individual amino acids so over time your kidneys could get overworked.

Also eat foods like nuts, seeds, olives, avocados...etc because they are really healthy for you and higher in calories.

Just pound the carbs man - eat big meals of pasta etc and hit the weights. As said you'll probably only wanna gain 20-30lbs because you wanna look good rather than overweight.

But yeah do weights while you're eating more, take some weight-gain supplements while you do so if you want (ask other people here about that since I don't really know!). Everyone has pretty much covered it.

Pasta/rice isn't expensive at all and buying quite a bit at once will help your wallet if anything. It's also quick/easy to cook.

A serious easy way to gain weight is to concentrate on your "sticky carbs" these are breads, pastas, and red meats. Its how actors gain weight for roles.
