I just watched The Usual Suspects on netflix and I am pretty blown away. The ending wasn't too surprising but I'm sure it was a lot less cliche on it's release. I dunno how I managed to never see this movie, I heard nothing but good things about it and I love all of the actors in it minus Stephen Baldwin.

I thought it was great though and I'd recommend anybody with a few hours spare, I was surfin the net while watching and I wish I would'nt have cause I missed a couple points.

Just watched the Fantastic Mr. Fox and couldn't stop laughing the whole time. It had this dry, sarcastic and different humour that you don't see too often. I loved it.

has anyone seen avatar?

i've heard nothing but amazement, but it just really doesn't look impressive CGwise and tbh the story sounds like it's been done before. i am skeptical.

avatar looks + sounds really bad. like holy shit i don't think there's any excuse for the DISNEY+MATRIX - level of story even if the movie turns out okay!

I've been looking forward to Avatar for a long time now and I'm pleased that it's been getting some great reviews. I'm not sure why everyone is knocking the CG, I'm just really excited at seeing a great action movie director returning with a kick ass movie!It's gonna be my first 3D movie, I think it's a good place to start.

though it feels like they just slapped some generic descartes in with some some david hume then maybe some chomsky then spinoza... pretty much all the shit i learned in philosophy class. trippy animation tho.
