when does the imaginarium of dr parnassus come out in the states? i saw it this past weekend but haven't heard anyone talk about it at all... i kind of feel like a 12-year-old gay kid for liking it so much.
sometimes, you need to quote yourself to feel important.

Goya's Ghosts, with javier bardem as Scary Evil Guy and skarsgard as Francisco Goya (he looks just like goya but for some reason he puts on a scottish accent??)

it was pretty good at first, starting out with a historically innacurate inquisition. then maybe halfway through the film it got pretty dumb, with the only point seeming to be MAN the world fucken blows, especially spain tho that place was a real hell hole just a huge pile of shit. it was barely even about goya

You guys are probably never gonna see that movie since it was made in Quebec but I just saw "5150 Rue des Ormes", an horror movie/thriller. That movie has balls the size of watermelon. I don't remember the last Quebec-made movie where a 9 years old gets killed by a shotgun shot to the chest by her own father and then you see her in her pool of blood. Pretty ballsy.

I got The Brothers Bloom on Itunes and watched it yesterday. The music of this movie is sticking in my head it's crazy. Good thing I love it.

While the movie has its oblivious flaws, It is very charming. The last 20 or so minutes of the movies are too much. The story just twists and spin one too many time. Don't get me wrong, the ending is very touching but the whole thing before it is kinda long. The thing that really makes this movie great in my eyes is the characters that are just so lovable and the whole retro atmosphere of the movie.

I watched Moon recently. That is an amazing movie, and Sam Rockwell showed some amazing acting.

Just watched Boondock Saints 2: All Saints Day yesterday and I was rather satisfied, though I think it dragged out longer than the first one a bit. Definitely see it if you are into assassin or shoot em' up movies.

Law Abiding Citizen. It was pretty good, nothing super special, a little over the top but fairly well done. There isn't too much of a PLOT, but still an entertaining thriller.

My friends and I rented some terrible horror movies for Halloween yesterday. One, Leprechaun: Back 2 the Hood, was bad but at least it was really entertaining. The other one we got, Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus, was fucking horrible and an abomination.

But it did have this scene which almost makes up for how bad it was.

This.
Holy shit, I never saw the film turning into... that.

Also checked out the new Star Trek which just bored me to death with its non-stop action scenes. It seems to have lost its philosophical nature for something ever more shallow. Altho i never really watched the original Star Trek series I can imagine it's probably far better.

Marjoe

It's a documentary about a guy called marjoe, a former child preacher, who shows the different methods used to get cash from the gullible faithfull. I read about it in Christopher Hitchen's book about religion, and thought it sounded interesting, so I gave it a shot. As a non-american this whole evangelist shtick still seems very fucking weird, and it's bizare how the people go for it when it's so crazy.
Like watching mick Jagger scream 'PRAISE THE LORD!' DO YA KNOW WHO JEE-ZUS IS? SAY GEEE-ZUSS! SAY HIS NAME!
It's a definate watch.

The Men Who Stare at Goats(do you capitalize "at" in titles?) was pretty good imho. Watched it yesterday with my brothers who were visiting me at college. George Clooney is pretty awesome I think. Story was cool, too.
don't mind me, just postin' after a few brewskies
