turns out bandages cover anything that could make this movie as horrible as it sounds but with proper cg and prosthetic this could be a fullblown nightmare

maybe it's just me in thinking this is potentially scarier than "omg people eat poop" but then again the movie "freaks" gave me nightmares as a boy so...

and let's be honest lionsgate and the pitiful indie festivals are all there is to the horror genre anymore excluding a few foreign flicks here and there, so imo it's between inventive movies like human caterpillar and a steady flow of remakes that keep the genre from being an ironic joke

i watched the original austin powers last night. 

why? I really haven't the faintest idea.

Watched "The Road". It was ok. Pretty depressing.

i snuck into the road when it came out in theaters, and it was pretty okay.  I didn't know anything about the source material so I was expecting something rather different and in that regard I was very dissapointed in the movie, but for the movie itself it is actually a pretty decent movie.  It definitely is a well-done capturing of the bleak aspect of the setting of a post-apocalypse, and I appreciate that the movie doesn't focus on what sort of caused it, and rather is just the story of these two characters.  The casting for the movie was pretty much perfect, and the scenery and dreariness of it all was well done.  The light touches to this movie helped make it not seem so over the top, which is something that too often happens with movies of this type.

That being said, considering that basically nothing happens the entire movie, it is pretty good.

I downloaded that movie btw because I was curious but now I'm kind of hesitant to watch it

I read some reviews that said it's not as grotesque as the previews make it out to be.  It doesn't rely so much on visual gross-out.

let's be honest anybody here at a gaming forum has enough spare time that every movie they watch doesnt have to be critically acclaimed
i submit that this movies attempt to make you feel disgust or nausea for even a brief moment is just as genuine as any other trend movie he could've downloaded


also he's not paying for it so we don't have to fight the corporate beast this particular time
i don't think the film industry will be damaged regardless of how popular this becomes

So much for no one bringing it up ever again.
