I've used this name a couple of places and most people assume it just goes with the Danzig song of the same name, but I actually earned it before I began seriously listening to Danzig.
I had a bit of an anger problem in high school, and on more then one occasion I threw desks around and attacked people who attempted to bully me or pull the "Did I tell you you could talk" shit. When I was in the front office one morning, having made the joke that I was there enough I should have my own personalized coffee mug and a copy of the morning paper waiting every day, I overheard the vice principal discussing me with one of the staffers - "That boy is a mad dog."
Most would have left well enough alone. I leaned back in the chair I was sitting in so I could see out of the doorway and said, loudly, "I'm not a dog, I'm a wolf."
Flash forward. I was in Algebra II in the computer lab (enrichment/busywork) and someone sat at my customary station. This displeased me, so after he got up to get in my face about being there first, I deftly snatched the chair away with an outstretched foot as he went to sit back down. He fell and everyone laughed at him. He got back up and tried to start something with me - I settled into my stance (JKD) and prepared to physically demonstrate the flaw in his plan.
On my subsequent trip to the office, the vice principal said with a smirk, "Well, if it isn't the killer wolf, why am I not surprised?"
