What zone is that above EPL that you're actually on the coast of? I never followed bullshit Warcraft lore so I'm not sure, but I had no idea you could even get to it. Were you able to get further inland or were there mountains blocking it off?

I think Dragonx stumbled upon that place too not that long ago, actually. I thought he was just being stupid when he told me but it's pretty neat!

Yes that is the place...fell off a cliff in the hinterlands and decided to just swim as far as I could until I found land

That zone might be the Ghostlands. I climbed up the mountains a bit, but all I could see on the radar was a solid brown blob behind them.

Damnit, I swam up there one day, trying to see if quel'thalas actually existed, but I gave up a little before where you were; my spirits crushed because there's not even an inaccesible landmass where quel'thalas should be.

No, if you swim for a looooong time, there is place where you can get it up, I saw a mage do it in one of the exploration videos (post 1.9 even), and yeah nothing too great there like most empty spaces its just flat textured ground.

I remember one day while waiting to get into AV I swam around the area blocked by the Graymane Wall, didn't find a way up or even scenery, sadly. :(

Edit: http://mapwow.com/

Might come in handy!

Even able to see the place :Q

Yeah it uses Google Map's API now and runs 100% better, really nice to just look at and really nice for finding rare stuff, like Black Lotus.

That map thing is incredibly awesome. It looks like there's more shit tacked onto the coasts than the lighthouse.

There's something east and slightly north of the Thandol Span, which might be a dwarven house, and two things on the southwest coast of Silithus; one is a cave, I'm about 90% sure of that, but I can't really tell what the other one is (and I don't have any plans to check it out, since it's probably a two hour trip from Feralas).

There's also Newman's Landing north of Westfall/west of Coldridge Valley, but that's pretty well-known.

Yes, that is a farm East of Thandol Span.

And the one south of Silithus, is a farm, just Tauren style. Also that cave goes really far back into the mountain side.

Also I have never heard of Newman's Landing til now!

It's a shame there's not actual shit to discover when you go to these places, like treasure or items or something. I guess that would quickly be ruined as the locations were posted on forums by idiots and camped to high hell, but still. It'd be cool if you were able to reap some type of cool reward, even if it were not AMAZING EPIX, for finding all this cool shit. I remember when I was like... level 17 or so, Turk and I found this one underwater cave (by this I mean it was actually above the water, but you had to swim underwater to access the entrance, kind of like that area in BFD) at the base of Teldrassil when we were jumping off with crystals inside it and shit. I'd only been playing the game for like a week by then so I was pretty amazed at the time. I think I'll hit that shit up again one of these days.

In light of the lighthouse discovery, I was inspired to go exploring furter.  I swam for at least an hour along that coast, until I came to this:

It's the only thing on a little plateau island off the coast of some Horde village with similar architechture.  I can't recall the name though.

There's something east and slightly north of the Thandol Span, which might be a dwarven house

I'm not sure where Thandol Span is, but further down on the coast I found this:

Check this map so see the approximate locations of these screens:

I'm so inspired to explore now that I plan are finding as many interesting locations as I can, taking screenshots, and marking their locations on this map for all to see.  But I think that will wait until later levels, i.e. post-mount.

In the Naga cave by Feathermoon Stronghold (south of it), there's a mission to kill the boss dude. Now I did that quest on my hunter (for like the third time (I also did it on my 2 other chars)), but I noticed something I hadn't noticed on the other characters. There's an underwater passage by the boss to some other part of the cave. I figured it was just a loop, but I actually ended up by some temple where a rare spawn was. I thought it was awesome.
<ramirez> well i know you disagree with me about that, and i agree that you disagree
<ramirez> but i still disagree with it
