I knew I would regret saying anything and look at all the fun I get. My main point was that I didn't see people wearing these shoes until a couple years into high school. That doesn't mean people didn't wear them before that but there are exceptions to everything.

You know what fad I hate? Marbles. You guys remember Marbles? I could never win at Marbles... just kept losing them all... (I'm assuming marbles is a fad, because in my area they were popular for about a year and a half and then just...faded away...)

Actually no, the "special things in chip packets fad" was pretty strong through the mid to late 90s, ranging from oddbodz to tazos to 3D pokemon cards to Dragonball Z discs, etc...

I still see them around sometimes but they are nowhere near as big as that initial tazo/oddbodz craze.
