It's time for the GW Awards! A worthless series of polls for worthless people to win worthless awards! TRADITION!

For the first time, I've had the premiums nominate some people preemptively so you guys don't have to renominate them and can rack your brains and remember some awesome new member from January or something. Also should these be posted on the blog or just here and results on the blog? We've also got some new categories, check em out.

ALSO: EVERY YEAR, without fail, the worst member contestants post XD HEH VOTE FOR ME, so I'm going to threaten you that if you win Worst Member and you pulled this shit I will find some mod, slip them money, and have you permabanned. This is the most annoying fucking thing and every year it happens.

Also if you don't want to win and think someone is better than you, it's in your interest to write a good reason to vote for someone else instead of you, rather than just saying NO NOT ME. GW doesn't reward modesty, but you can convince them to give it to someone else.

Best Member- Every GW member is valid for this, including admins, mods, whatever. It's for the overall best GW member. Btw unlike other years I'm gonna put this one last because just like the Oscars you gotta tune in for the big stuff. Also keep in mind; it's best to consider this more for this year than BEST OF ALL TIME. Do this for all categories except for one which will be mentioned as such.

Best Writer- THIS IS NOT BEST POST WRITER. THIS IS NOT BEST STAFF WRITER. WE ARE TALKING ABOUT LITERATURE. That means poems and plays and essays and novels and short stories. Not staff articles or topics. Hundley somehow gets nominated every year for this but I'm one of maybe six people that's read anything he's written this year so I think people confuse the ability with who has actually posted works. If you want to vote Hundley or a topic creator do it in another category please.

Prettiest Girl of All Time: Honorary Award- Many GWs have left us, not just this year but in the past. The PGOAT is for a member who we still miss here in 2008 (they can have left at any time though). It's basically that award they give to the dead people on the Oscars. Who is the PGOAT for 2008? Note: anyone who posted recently cannot be the PGOAT. If they are on IRC or AIM, it doesn't matter, this is a forum award.

also I think it's stupid for chef and TOG to be separate for best game designer since chef pretty much is TOG. I can understand GZ being separate since he released things separate from TOG before, but chef hasn't and I'm pretty sure whoever said his name really just meant TOG.

I thought the same thing but then figured whoever nominated it knew some chef game I didn't. in the vote topic this will be changed then!

tog specifically means me, drule, bort, gz, and you. it refers to the three games we've released, anne frank (no idea why anyone would nominate this), barkley, which was me, gz, drule, and bort, and wu-tang, which was more konix, gz, and drule than me and bort. i think tog is a pretty valid nomination because it refers specifically to a lot of people working together on different projects. i shouldn't get any nominations because i wasn't the sole designer for any of these games, it was a lot of people!
