in what world is spirluna a common drink ingredient? spirluna is sold as flakes and as pills dude, how is that something for smoothies; the flakes are put on food and the pills are taken like vitamins. its also not common at all.

http://www.google.com/search?client=opera&rls=en&q=spirluna+smoothie&sourceid=opera&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8 132 for spirluna smoothie,
http://www.google.com/search?q=spinach+smoothie&btnG=Search&hl=en&safe=off&client=opera&rls=en&hs=R3V&sa=2 518,000 for spinach smoothie.

I don't think even dok thinks spirluna is a common thing in drinks!

edit: yeah I checked, no one talks about it in non flake, powder, or pill form. I think you're confusing spirluna with something else! also saying PRETTY HEALTHY is misleading. to quote the UC Berkely Wellness report, or just my previous link:

like yeah saying SPINACH YUUUCK is dumb but spirluna isn't a smoothie ingredient!

i just noticed that you're spelling it wrong which explains your google results

instead of talking about dok lets wonder why dietcoke keeps linking to fucking DISCHARGES which is kinda like a combination of /b/'s taste for shocksites and ytmnd's sense of humor. is he trying to get banned?? place your bets itt
i  just remembered that he's trying to campaign for worst member to call steel out on the banning threat.

57,800 for spirulina smoothie

oh thats why! I did think it was STRANGE it was so small, seeing as how vegans do use it. but I still don't think it's common. wheatgrass, another example joe gave, has over 100,000. spinach over 500,000. spirulina isn't common. I mean there are 54,200 recipes for BUCKWHEAT smoothie and there's no way that's a smoothie ingredient that's common. also it's still not that healthy, it's just not UNHEALTHY. there's no need to use something other than spinach, especially since adding the fruit in those drinks means you dont care about the flavor really.

doktorm. is pretty dumb in general but I think in this topic he's made marginally valid points. Spirulina is a pretty common smoothie ingredient if you're looking for a really healthy smoothie (and not a smoothie that is only healthy in that it's not terrible for you).

It is actually really healthy for you, even though its benefits are sometimes overplayed. It's definitely not something that you want to eat exclusively (because it sucks after a while).

Yeah, I loved San Andreas, but it was just such a black game. :x Like. Eh, I dunno, it was all so frickin' black, and I enjoyed the atmosphere of Vice City more.

no it's not. the health benefits of spirulina are at best marginal and are mostly inconclusive. he's also not even the one who brought up spirulina, joe is.

I posted these before. it's not bad for you but it's far from a superfood and the vitamin benefits or whatever aren't any greater than most other healthy vegetables. there's a reason it's rarely sold in non medicinal forms; it tastes like, well, algae, and by marketing it as a pill they trick you into thinking it's some superhealthy thing. drink wheatgrass, spinach, kale, many other veggies, before chewin on some algae with little proof of benefit!

alec he's posting porn. i told him he was asking for trouble!

edit: btw this topic really sucks. a good 25% of the replies are jokes, then the rest are IM DRINKING SOMETHING: LETS NOT TALK ABOUT IT. if dragon x hadn't been dumb about spinach it'd still be this boring shit.
