This was a tough decision. GZ, TOGS, hima and cactus all come really really close for me (I don't know who team Anamei is), but in the end, though cactus has variety and GZ's games are really funny, and Barkley was remarkable, I still think I enjoyed hima's games the most and USG was the most addicting for me, so I'm going to vote for him. But the rest are really good!

i'll have to go with cactus but these choices are all really really good.

i'd vote for gz but my perception of him has always been that his best work has been as A CODER since that is what he did for barkley and sewer goblet and what i think he does for faceless.  hes probably a good designer but i feel like all i have to go by is POTATO ADVENTURES although if this was best//most productive//reliable//efficient game coder he would get the vote.  i think as far as actual serious GAME DESIGNERS or w/e go, cactus is the best.

Team Anamei

They are a couple (married I think?) that make pretty good games.  Their latest game was really similar to USG.  I don't think they get much attention on GW though because they haven't really promoted here much.

cactus tends to be a really good designer but out of like the 5 games I've played I tend to have FUNDAMENTAL DISAGREEMENTS with the way things are done. yet I never post in his threads........

i pretty much agree with this. kind of dumb to vote him BEST GW anything if he never posts here and doesn't care about us. Vote GZ. Potatoman adventures!!

I vote for Team Anamei because they've done pretty much everything by themselves from the system to the music. It is very difficult to find an indie team that is capable of doing such thing. Plus, I think it's very cute that they're married and work together on their games!

i think it is very difficult to judge something like this given the different games / projects the developers listed make. i think though, that cactus has shown more versatility in terms of game design than anyone on the list because he has released so many varied projects. i really don't get many opportunities to flex my GAME DESIGN MUSCLE because i have been picking large scale project lately, but i hope to change this next year by squeezing some minor projects in.
