I think the rogue taxidermy was the most interesting as I had totally no idea it existed before reading it! Kazakhstan was also a really good read. Freeware Fridays was the series most applicable to this site. It's a simple article formula but at the same time so useful to people like us.

Facebook and you was highly amusing and true.

Esh wrote some GW olympics topics that were pretty involving. I seem to remember wasting a good few days over summer with Schmarius on Trackmania training for that :D

man there it is again. NO CONTEST. did you see crumply's lite-c article? catamites got an interview with the head of a record label. wash cycle wrote about shit probably no one in gw knows about. I mean there's flaws in all these, I voted for freeware friday because other than and perhaps more so than crumply's lite c articles it most embodies the spirit of gw's gamemaking (and crumply takes snail time to do even one of them) but I wouldn't say NO CONTEST at all! it's a good series but it's not the only one, no contest is when you've got like catamites vs mog whos the better member.

that being said CS Lewis doesn't deserve to be up there.

I really enjoyed Freeware Fridays but I thought the Iron Chef thing was really interesting and well-done and I liked that a lot, so it gets my vote.

Freeware Fridays is pretty reliable and the games are always great so my vote goes there.
"I would be totally embarassed to write this, even as a fakepost. it's not funny except in how you seem to think it's good. look at all the redundancies, for fuck's sake. "insipid semantics, despicable mediocrity" ugh gross gross. I want to take a shower every time I read your prose." -Steel

I'm not saying the others aren't good, strictly talking about which one interested me the most. The rest weren't nearly as good (read interesting I suppose!) for me so it's no contest for me. There really isn't anything more to it so don't take it the wrong way. I have to say that the albums GW hasn't heard of would be a close second but it wasn't nominated and was finished really early which is a shame.

there were a ton of really well written/interesting articles written this year, but only three of them were good enough that I thought HEY I NEED TO SHOW THIS TO SOMEONE IRL: steel's facebook and freeware fridays (well, just a couple of games).

Voting for facebook because freeware (no offense to you freeware guys, they were very informative!) has info you could probably find on other indie gaming sites, but steel's writing style is really unique and hilarious

freeware friday, thought I'm confused why more ff still coming out when we have the indie game list (I think regular update on the list would be better)

i believe the plan when gw6 is up is to shift from the fridays into individual reviews of the games on the list.
