I'm already planning on getting Mario Galaxy, Twilight Princess, Mario Kart, and Smash Bros.  I have no idea what else to get though.  Any genre is fine, though I mostly play fighting games and rpgs.   Also, are there any decent Wii ware games?

Here are some of the games I own that you may enjoy.
Mega Man 9 (WiiWare) - It's Mega Man 9!
Okami - If you haven't played it on the PS2 already.
Resident Evil 4 - If you haven't played it on the GC or PS2 already.
Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn - Stategy RPG featuring a lot of swords and the like.
Zack and Wiki - Owning this will give you hardcore-cred.

I wouldn't get Smash Bros or Twilight Princess if I were you... they were huge let downs! (Well, for me anyways).

Get a game worth getting, get Opoona. Best rpg on the Wii, and best game on the Wii period. It's got a really fun battle system, an amazing soundtrack and a very interesting story.

I heard Opoona was kind of dumb. It looked cool, though.

Super Mario Galaxy is awesome, and I really enjoyed the PUZZLES in twilight princess.

Brawl and Twilight Princess are great, I don't understand what swordofkings128's problem is.

brawl was more like "hey, look at these flashy particle effects while we zoom the camera out unnecessarily so it looks cool" than a game. I never knew what the hell I was doing because clouds of special effects covered the characters up, and on top of that they were really small because of the camera. and thats just on 2 players, forget it when there's 4 people playing at once. it's complete chaos. sometimes I'll fly off stage because I don't know where the fuck I am. at least in Street Fighter you knew what you were doing, because flashies the size of the character don't block you from seeing them.

I guess they did that so you wouldn't be able to see how the characters fought, thus saving them time from having to research actual fighting styles. My theory is further proven because they added those stupid fucking smoke bombs that cloud everything even more. I've always thought that the most important aspect of playing a game was being able to tell whats going on, but I guess Nintendo thought otherwise.

that fucking subspace emissary shit was a lame excuse for like a "story mode" or something. it was like some 13 year old Nintendo fanfag's awful fanfic, and the levels were incredibley boring. then theres like five jillion things you can collect. Having collectables/unlockables isn't bad but holy shit did Brawl have a lot.

TP is better, but it's just another Zelda game. it doesn't do anything new with it, it's just Zelda. it wasn't bad by any means, it just had no soul. *Plus it got rid of the magic bar so it was actually a step backwards!*. It's not as bad as Brawl though.

Now, Mario Galaxy on the other hand, is fantastic. It's a lot of fun, the levels are great and creative and tbh was the most fun I've ever had playing a Mario game.

edit: Farmrush, Opoona is an amazing game. I advise you to get it.

yea ignore swordofkings, brawl is a really fun game and twilight princess (imo) is up there with some of the best zeldas

edit: swordofkings that camera stuff is in EVERY SMASH BROS EVER so shut the fuck up. unless you have insanely bad eyesight and have the comprehensive skills upwards of a five year old it is not hard to see what is going on!

well it wasn't nearly as bad in the previous games(maybe in Melee it was but it's been a long time sooooo). it wouldn't be that much of a fucking problem if it wasnt for all those damn particle effects, they just make everything all the more confusing. it's just too much going on, like your playing Touhou but against other people. maybe it's just me but i lose my character while all these explosions and sparkles and circles go everywhere and then I see thaT i died some how and i'll be like "wtf" because theres just too much going on the fucking screen at once.

but what really makes me mad is all those reviews saying "OH this is a great fucking game must have for wii owners!" so I though "Hey, thats me, i own a Wii". i've learned my lesson not to have reviews sway me into purchasing a game.

edit: i'll admit that the whole actual fighting style thing was a bit out there, but idk i've always found fights between trained martial artists pretty entertaining.

edit: Also you might as well just ignore what i said about brawl, as most of my anger for this game is fueled by my stupidity to listen to reviews. if you like it, thats good for you. i don't even know why i said anything because you know what happens when you criticize something popular!  :fogetunsure: people run to defend it and an informative topic gets derailed and locked.*that might have come off as sounding kind of ass-ish, but I don't mean it that way*.

unless you only play games with 4 of the same character then yea, its just you.

but dude yea fighting styles?? this is a game; the fighting style is YOURS. even in street fighter etc your play style is the primary "fighting style" unless you mean like ATTACK ANIMATIONS or something dumb like that.

You DO realize that there are player icons on the screen right?

right?

There are the P1 and P2-4 and, you can create a name which never leaves the character. Unless that bothers you too. And every single character has different fighting styles. If you wanna watch actual fighting styles go watch martial arts or ufc or something. But this is meant to be a game for EVERYONE, and not just people who have attention problems, or 6 year olds.

EDIT: Sorry I went off topic. Grunthor, I also recommend that you play No more Heroes(this is an incredible game) and if you have interest in fps, call of duty:world at war. If not Super Mario Galaxy, or Super Paper Mario, but maybe I'm just a Mario fan boy. lol.

man hes saying he couldn't see what his character was doing. he's not a toddler OH MY GOSH SOMETHING CAME ON SCREEN THAT MEANS IT DISAPPEARED, hes saying some shaking screen shit and a few particle effects later and hed not see if his guy was getting hit, caught by an item, on a disappearing platform, whatever.

and I guess if you think KIRBY USES A BLOBBY LEG TO KICK SNAKE USES A NON BLOBBY LEG is some kind of intense style whatever but this is a dumb button mashing game you really shouldn't be arguing about the intrinsic abilities underlying smash brothers.

unless you're one of those tournament retards who sucks the fun out of everything.

twilight princess blows a lot and idk what standards you would use to judge games where it would be "up there with some of the best zeldas" unless ALL ZELDAS are up there with some of the best zeldas.

Okami is probably a better choice than Twilight Princess, i forgot it came out for the Wii. the story was actually interesting and I thought the puzzles/adventuring were more fun, the brush aspects added a pretty unique feel to the whole thing but i don't think they were used as well as they could have been.
