nah, they're two separate people. there's a baron von swede and a baron on the laptop.

also, i'm pretty sure they fiter fuck to be "hug." I've seen "totally friggin" a lot too but idk what word(s) it replaces. "Fuckin" maybe?

yeah, i've had mixed experiences so far. there are a couple really cool topics and I like their "we dont warn for going offtopic" rule, but there are a shitload of really bad topics too. they don't seem to lock topics ever, no matter how horrible they are.

you can go to gaia online and find people typing like that, it's not a special gw thing! tho it does remind me of impeal and his Shapeless Blob Part Two callout of ase or adeline, that's what's good about it.

i mean, did anyone think it was ever a gw specific thing?  people are lazy typists all over the internet!  i just like the term because yeah, it reminds me of like MEKESSS et al being like ugh....you and your....lack of capitalization in the old days i guess.  it's a very nostalgic term

no i never did but it is kind of interesting how this happened as if anything it's a backward slide in coherency. i wonder if it means anything linguistically. the idea of expressing ideas simply over complex!

its interesting because i think all of us would condemn someone who decided to just 1984 their speech and was like "maudlin of the well doubleplusgood" but at the same time would cringe if someone started talking about how shit was mellfluous or something. forum speech probably affects us worse than we think I bet. I haven't had to do any actual writing in about a year though so what do I know.

welp i think its due to different levels of speech probably.  time was this was viewed as a FORMAL MESSAGEBOARD and a certain level of language was required to post and it was generally the level you would email your grandmother with + maybe more profanity but you know.  i think as the general tone of the forum went from being kind of serious and semi-formal to hyper-relaxed (tho not on the same level as certain sa forums or tabb), the level of speech starting slipping backwards right alongside our standards.  i think we would condemn both those things because they represent extremes; one is ridiculously relaxed and the other is irritatingly formal.  both are annoying!  i think we and most other good forums fall somewhere in between, although i guess that depends on the topic too.  but i don't think our joke topics are ever that relaxed and our serious topics are definitely never that formal.

my smartest/most pretentious literature-nerd friends all type in "slack" grammatical style. but then again so do a lot of dumbasses so.

i also think our forum differs a little from the more relaxed forums in that they usually have mostly really short one-liners while we still have a lot of people writing paragraphs all the time.

1 month? that's all it takes. Though, I care not for rpg maker that much anymore, I'm not a active member, well, maybe I'm starting to get into it again, I suck.

Or is that the reason why I seem to be less active, because there are other forums I go too, sounds about right. Only in the rpg making era of my pc working, yes, I was active then.

But no one cares, what I do. I won't go further to cause e-drama.
