I read the first two books and didn't mind it for filler entertainment. Lent them to my cousin and he's obsessed. Yes, I contributed to the problem.

What have I done?

I wouldn't have a problem with the series if people didn't get so... so... orgasmically obsessed? It's just a book, not the be-all-end-all. -_-

I suppose it could be worse. It could be required reading in high schools. <shudder>

I was looking up Robert Pattison (the guy who plays the vampire) to see if I could verify that he hates his role, and this is what showed up on Google:

It's just... sad how all these teenyboppers are actually caring about whether the guy is dating or has a girlfriend.

That and checking the lyrics to that lullaby or something that he sings to Bella. I didn't see the movie so I'm not sure but a couple of teenies I know are listening to that. I haven't heard it but I'm sure it's pretty horrible to anyone with taste. But Xanqui, the worst is, they don't want to date Robert Pattison, they want to date Edward the violent stalking vampire.

pattinson isn't a bad guy, he hates the books and has pretty much admitted he made a mistake taking the role.

i read a quote where rupert grint was like yeah pattinson and I had some bet going that i lost so i gotta read twilight. i haven't made it far int he first book, it blows and the interviewer was like yo you know there are four books and he looked horrified.

and then rupert grint scowled and angrily texted something to pattinson.

I've seen the movie and it was not as bad or emo as everyone said it was. Maybe is because I've seen worse things but I don't see this show as emo enough.
