Yeaster everything looks great. The blindfolded guy looks pretty cool.
Front-view battle might look a bit weird though. Are you keeping the proportions? Are those... goats... giant like that?

Oh my dear NB... prepare to be proved so VERY wrong.I have some bosses planned that are going to BLOW your MIND.
Each individual enemy character takes approx 8-9 events. Its all about the imagination, of which I have plenty.  :)

You totaly missed his point, but go ahead and try...not to be mean, but I think you want honesty; I watched your videos and I saw a lot of bad design erros you could get away with in pixel movement, but here in gird locked movement those errors are ganna bite back hard.

Unless you convert to pictures you will never get the true smooth visuals you need to make the abs work properly. I've been there and done what you are trying to do, I really suggest you try it in another maker or wait for action game maker(?).

With that said, go ahead and try... I'm sure it's possible to make something cool; but it will never compare to pixel based movement.

Just testing out an impossible combo, as only 2 weapons are usable at any time.
Weaponry - Gun, Missile and Laser - All Type 1, Level Max || Other Statistics - Gun Speed Max, Weapon Arc Standard

No enemy AI though, haven't got round to that, trying to get all weapons and store setup, which will work sort of the way the one in Gods does. Weapons'll have 3 types and 3 levels each, with only two of the three being equippable at anytime.

There's really NO DEPTH to that image, Sano, which is your main problem. It looks far too flat to me. Not that I can't see what you're trying to get at, but it needs some work before you're there.

@Calunio: Delightful! I love anything you post. Are those textboxes ALL pictures, 'cause that may take a while if you have a lot of dialogue.

@Yeaster: Most consistent game, graphics-wise, you've made yet, and it looks fab. Facesets are great!

Well uh, it's an originally drawn background used as a panorama in VX. Nothing animates yet, but I'm working on ways to get it working.

Mostly why I posted: Are the proportions totally skewed to the point where it takes away from the image, or? Issues like that are pretty much unavoidable without tile-based mapping, but even so.

What's with all these mockups. Are you guys finding/making backgrounds and sticking character sets on them? I mean it's okay in moderation, but Yeaster and CociCookie have some screens with a little more flare (screens of gameplay) to them. You don't need to post every background you find or make.

Anyway, yours looks good Sanosuke. Blindmind, that would suck if that didn't have diagonal movement. The proportions are fine to me, and it looks pretty!
