He's at it again *curls down shivering*...
But in all seriousness, the desert town of Caldinasus has seen some serious improvements today. From imagination, to paper, to game in roughly an hour... I can't help but feel it's becoming slightly more playable/enjoyable since its debut in 2007.
The inside maps and the cross roads leading north to the Arena and south to the Item shop, along with the northeastern map leading to Yilphruk's house are all still WIP, but the main town is complete. I decided to cut out the extra events that disallow you from going behind too much of the roofs and above the ladder strictly for screenshot purposes.
Also you may have noticed that the wall to the southwest isn't finished, this is intentional. As it would be, the workers are waiting for the next shipment of bricks and mortar to continue the construction of the wall around Caldinasus. You may think that this is just a place to throw in a seemingly pointless quest, but the overseer is too full of himself to accept assistance in finding out where the next shipment is and when it will arrive. Using a few switches and events, in-game after entering the town you can walk along the base of the wall while having access to all the tiles around it. Once you climb to the top of the ladder, the switches change and you can walk to the ends of the wall that would normally be closed off to sort of give a grasp of elevation.
EDIT: The Pub roof has been fixed, but due to my laziness I can't be bothered to make another screenshot... same goes for the northeastern wall around the government house.
