Tip: When you're pushing giant boulders around during mountainside dungeons, make sure you check where your boulders are going.

... I ought to make the blockage look more like a pile of rubble lodged in there.

NetGame Crisis Saga's not dead...


More of a mock-up than a screenshot actually. The characters are not yet *Captain Obviously* final and they're still being worked on.

I'm planning to screw the standard leveling-up system by this system:

Ex. You killed a Poring and you earned 50 EXP.

The EXP you get can be immediately spent to your stats, with stranger costs.

If your STR is from 0 ~ 15 = pay 1 exp. ; 16 ~ 30 = pay 2 exp. ; until such time that every stat point costs around 1000 EXP or more. No wonder that you might even stretch your HP & SP to 999,999 if that will happen.

@The Ghost: Actually, it's a mockup for how to display your characters in an ABS made by Near Fantastica.

This is how Near Fantastica's SBABS looked like:


Actually, I'm about to ask for some critique on designing my HUD. The theme of my hud was supposed to be futuristic. On the left, there'll be your staple HP & SP of your party, then on top, there's supposed to be a skill bar (switchable as if it's really an MMO, depending on your actor count).

NOTE:
Why futuristic? NetGame Crisis Saga's game world takes place in a sci-fi fantasy setting.

@ Pip -- There isn't much to comment on. Its a bunch of pictures with numbers next to them. If that is how large your HUD is going to be, it will suffer a case of information overload. And whats the deal with all the colors in the background? Will those be transparent?

and I've really tried to understand your sig, but I just don't think it registers...

Yup, that's how large will my HUD be, and I'll be adding a skill quickslot bar beside the leader's. I've been thinking of making use of my charsets' top halves rather than their facesets for the HUD. BTW, it's temporary, and in its initial release, I might use dark green as their background color.

What's in my sig? I'm hinting that NetGame Crisis Saga's [NGCS] still in the works, and provided a character quote below. I might as well use the quote I have in MMOSite *evil grin + Light Yagami-esque laugh*.

That's made in response to most WoW-Fags in almost every MMO site.

Nothing too exciting, just an 'instruction manual' type menu. You can scroll through the pages and pressing <SHIFT> will make a mini-help window pop-up until you press shift again (it's transparent so it doesn't obscure any writing).

It's blurry for some strange reason to do with my PSP program.

The plural form of 'instruction' is 'instructions', not 'instruction's'. Please remember that, in ninety-nine out of a hundred cases, you do not use apostrophes when pluralising. Exceptions occur when the apostrophe is going to make things less confusing, like when speaking of two s's, or i's. (obviously, ss won't work, nor will is)

Do you have pictures of the actual game rather than an instruction? It seems interesting.

i think it is just the font. Compare the first N to the last N.

Yeah, it's the font. As for actual gameplay, I've just started working on the customer AI. I've finished the restock, timing and item check systems. Once the customers are done I just need to do the salesmen and item unlock system, a few tests and it's good to go. One map minigames, Ahoy!
