I hated how religious this show got. At first I thought they were trying to make a point that people put into such a dire situation would have to turn to religion or osmeting to stay sane but after the sixth character having VISIONS and hardly questioning them you gotta just think lazy dumb writing or really stupid characters.

Yeah, if at the end of the series they say something like "SEE? GOD REALLY EXISTS!" I'll be pretty fucking pissed.

I'm willing to accept that the religion is based around unexplained scientific phenomena, but we don't need "proof of god" bullshit.

My theory about Starbuck is that she's a hybrid - probably the first Cylon hybrid to exist - and that her father is... *gasp* Saul Tigh. Their personalities clash because they're so similar, so it make sense that it'd be him. Plus, with him being in the military just like Kara's mom, it wouldn't be too farfetched if they met one another and hooked up at some point. If it's not him, then it's gotta be Leoben... but Saul fits better if she is indeed a hybrid, and the writers decide to go with this twist explanation.

I don't think it would be Leoben because he seemed really freaked out by her.  He seems to know everything he needs to know about himself.

I would like to know if Cylons age, because wasn't Tigh with Adama when they were younger?

Yeah, Tigh did look younger in that one episode when Bill got his own Battlestar (via flashbacks), and Boomer did show Six a photo on New Caprica when she was younger with her family...

Yeah that's what I don't get either. Adama himself said SAUL WHEN I FIRST MET YOU, YOU HAD HAIR or something to that effect. Like, Tigh has clearly aged since Adama and him met. So, what's the deal, do only the final five age or something, or did all the SKINJOBS start as children and reach a certain point and stop aging?? Whats the deal eicke and moore, what's the deal.

the deal is that they didn't decide tigh was a cylon until well after they had shown him as a younger man and now they've got to come up with an excuse

Or am I just looking too much into these things?

this is unfortunately the likeliest of explanations, though it'd be great if there was more too it!

NOT LIKING SEASON 4.5 SO FAR.  Series feels all over the place, with too many little plots going around without anything really driving the series forward. We've found Earth and the Cylons are practically at peace with humanity. Sure, Earth is a nuclear wasteland and the rest of the Cylons still under Cavil are a threat, but neither of these things is really being explored. It feels like there's no CONFLICT driving the show forward like there always has been in the past, though the final minutes of the last episode started to deal with this.

Gaeta has and Zerick seems to be reverting to his old ways. but the writers need to stop sandbagging and get a move on, I honestly don't give a shit if Callie . Get dat shit out of my sci fi space opera.

Yeah, last night's episode was more like a filler, the last comedic episode we'll get. Everything is going to get a lot darker from here on out. I find it interesting that Gaeta has always gravitated toward the person with the most power and is subservient to them. First it was Cmdr Adama, then Baltar, and now Tom Zarek. He really felt let down by seeing the faults of Adama who he once considered this god-like figure. Did anyone else get the feeling that the webisodes (Face of the Enemy) took place in between these 2 episodes? Chief was giving his plan in that meeting and Gaeta being pissed off makes more sense when you put it into perspective with what he experienced on that Raptor. Still, I really want Starbuck to punch that cripple in the face.

Speaking of Starbuck, I'd like for the show to explore more of her relationship with Anders. How does she feel about him post Cylon revelation? How does she feel about herself? I'm sure at least THAT will unfold in the next few episodes and I can't wait to see where it will go.

On a random note, I wonder what sort of drugs Admiral Adama is taking? I don't believe we've seen him use any sort of medication before so I wonder if this is a bad sign... how horrible would it be if he too had some terrible terminal illness and he passed away before Roslin? I kind of fear for him actually. He's going to be number one on Zarek's hit list. The plot of revolution has been done before on BSG, but I'm must more excited to see it happen in these circumstances. Tom I never liked as a character, but I'm liking the bigger focus he's going to get now. He really isn't all that different from Bill.

Where is Tory? I don't really care for her that much, but it'd be nice to know what's going on with one of the final 5? (Anders included). I'm assuming she's currently on the Baseship but what is she doing?

actually i thought the latest episode was pretty good and i've seen people say filler about it and stuff but i liked it pace and it didn't take everything way too far like all of season 4 has up to now. i don't get the comedic comments, though. tigh was kind of giggly and happy and there was some of that g..gallows humour!!! in here but i wouldn't call it a jokey episode at all.

I also want to add that we need more Doc. Cottle. That man is amazing and steals every scene he's in for me. He's far surpassed Doctor House on the entertainment scale. He just has the right balance between caring for patients and yet not at the same time. It's a hard balance to get but I think he has it.

I always sort of liked Cottle even if he's a BIG OL DOCTOR stereotype, like a cross between House and McCoy from the original Star Trek. I also realized yeah, there are several characters who have just DROPPED OFF, like Baltar was only in one scene in the last episode - and it was practically just ARCHIVAL FOOTAGE of his earlier rallies. He was once one of the most important characters in the show, including one its best "villains", but ever since he was pardoned and took to living with those fanatics, he's sort of just become DULL.

they just kind of have characters flow in and out as the story goes. baltar was in the first half of this season loads. it's only been two episodes back, i would wait until the end until saying characters just drop off cos you can't really tell midway. baltar will probably be coming in again soon whenever the writers feel like the time is right.

i mean chief was missing from like 5 episodes in the first half and in this one there was plenty of chief. there are a lot of characters, they come and go.
