I just finished this game a couple of days ago, it's very similar to the ps1 version.

Star ocean second evoloution can become so easy if you know what to do. You can get Claudes
ultimate weapon, 6 hours into the game, seriously with no game shark and no cheat codes.
All it takes is skill points and talents. After you have this weapon, the rest of the game
is a breeze. I even started toying around with some bosses, because it was too easy.
   

You have to save up all your skill points with Claude and as soon as you can put them into learning customise lv7,
You then have to get passed the tournament on the second continent and talk to a man in the west of the tournament
town and he will give you a sword. Now you have to gain more skill points and save your game. When your game is
saved put your skill points into ESP until you get a mithril, once you have a mithril combine it with the sword you got
by customising, to get a minus sword. Then do the same thing with the minus sword to get the ultimate weapon.

I recently saw some movies of Second Evolution on the Youtubes, and as a guy who played the original game...I feel pretty mixed! Everything has been butchered! The text is different, the voice actors...I kind of miss the old ones, the graphics are for sure better! Music is the same...Claude is still a jerk. ^^

And to think! I could of got a PSP instead of my Zune. But I would rather have my Zune.

Still! Can't wait for SO4! I'm going to be a good boy and wait till the release instead of surfing for pictures and information.
