Hey everyone, well I haven't been around much in a pretty long time.  So what have I been up to?  Working as an intern for a game company!  We make cell phone games, not too glamorous, but pretty cool work.   I used to work in web page development, so when we needed a website I volunteered.

This website was made for a game I came in on the end of.  I can't take any artistic credit for the game, but I did a lot of busy work on the graphics.

Anyway, feel free to check it out. It's not the best website ever, but I thought it turned out alright.

nice site, but why 3 navs?
sometimes, you need to quote yourself to feel important.

Yeah, I noticed this too.  I can understand having the one on top and the one on the side (because of the sub-menus), but the bottom one is just overkill at that point.

You're probably right, 3 navs is a little overkill, but the one on the bottom doesn't really interfere with anything.  I'm also not responsible for all the wording.  My boss had me copy and paste the home page text from the EA website - which is a big no-no for search engine optimization.

Yeah, it's fairly cool working there - my coworkers are really awesome, we hang out and play a lot of guitar hero and mario cart.  However, I don't work in the same office as the big part of the company that's working on the console games (we go see them sometimes for tours and birthdays).   I was really surprised at the high turn over rate at our small company (it's different at the main office).  I started work 7 months ago and we have all new people working there except for the bosses best friend.  My boss also likes to keep people as interns as long as possible, so half the people there are interns.  Some people from the main office looked at me funny when I told them I was still an intern after 7 months, since I do pretty much all the artwork for the game.

This is a pretty decent layout, but I agree with everyone on the nav thing.

It's also a little dark.  Maybe some screenshot/graphic action as a sidebar instead of pure black bg?

No, sadly it's not.  So, the same evening I was supposed to be done making the website, my boss tells me she wants to include an embeded video on our site(which comes from this other site).  I would much rather have linked to it since it doesn't fit in the current layout.  Unfortunately, there's no arguing with my boss, so I just put it on a separate page.  Hopefully someone will say something and she'll randomly change her mind.  She does that a lot.
