I was looking at dates, and the last post on the first page was Jan 1, so I didn't want to bring up a dead post, plus there's nobody discussing what is going on right now... Since I missed Monday's =(

it's not that, mamamack's bro. it's that this is a pretty bad topic - usually people are expected to put some details in to get things going and kind of make an effort to make the topic interesting to read. you'll find one line topics in the joke forums but apart from that you should probably have included some upcoming stuff about 24's storyline, what you think of it, why people might be interested in it if they don't watch it etc

also, no, i don't watch 24. i used to, i watched i think the first 3 seasons but i lost interest in it after that and i don't think much of what i can remember about the show.

I missed the last episode, and so did mamamack cuz sarevok and izekeal were at her house lol

But from the first 4 episodes, it's gone downhill already. I mean, these last couple look like they're grasping at ideas.

BTW I love 24, and it's actualy my sister's fault I am into it lol

Been watching it. It's decent, but

Chief, you can watch them free online at the tv sites. Fox in the US, Global in Canada. Good quality too :)

Awesome, thanks mud, I'll have to look into that. And I agree, that was pretty quick... I was also hoping Tony was going to be a bad guy the whole time =(

I love 24.  I'm really glad the show moved away from LA because that was getting pretty tiresome and ridiculous.

But really, the show hasn't changed much.  That's why I love it.

24 is impressive  because somehow the people behind this show have found a way to tell a story using only TWISTS.

also it's basically the quinessential corny action show. that is all.

Yeah, you can't watch the show expecting it to be intelligent.  It's just not.  But the show has a charm in its stupidity.  There's something very satisfying about a completely ridiculous, convoluted plot being foiled by the same guy within the span of 24 hours.  You know what to expect with each season.

But because you know what to expect, when the show does throw something unexpected, it's that much better.  Every season has managed to have at least a few moments where I was like "holy crap."

I have a very short attention span, so all the scene changes, twists, and holy crap moments are probably why i am so into 24. Very few shows can pull me in like this one, let alone anything not animated lol.

I'm going to be honest: I started watching 24 for Kiefer Sutherland. The show could be about flying ninja porcupines from Jupiter and, as long as Kiefer Sutherland was in it, I'd watch it.

While a big part of my enjoyment of 24 comes directly from watching Kiefer Sutherland kick ass and take names, I have to admit that, as the years wear on, the concept of the show itself has kept me hooked. I absolutely love the real-time element. The revolving door of guest characters is also enough to keep me entertained, this year especially with the return of Carlos "Tony's not really a bad guy" Bernard and the addition of Colm "I've played every dead Canadian politician" Feore.

The plot is usually very predictable: Jack Bauer is gonna have a really bad day but it's all right because he saves the world! A little bit of predictability is a good thing, and I've found that 24 is one of those shows that I can predict most of what's going to happen. Then, suddenly, something I don't expect will happen and I'm hooked, struggling to figure out what I missed.

Speaking of what I missed, I suppose I should watch episode 6 before watching episode 7 tomorrow night.
Check it out! I'm doing NaNoWriMo this year!

Wouldn't a show like that be cool enough to watch even without Kiefer Sutherland? :)

Hope we get some sort of interesting twist tomorrow night. Advertisements from a few weeks ago already spoiled a lot of things... ie: That one's not much of a spoiler, but there's much worse in them

I used to watch 24 religiously, I thought it was the best thing ever!  Then it just started to get more and more ridiculous and I couldn't stand to watch anymore.  I think it peaked season 3 and then just started to slide pretty fast.

I watched up until the middle of season 5 and that was pretty much all I could take.

I think season 4 bothered a lot of people.  That season had no focus at all and it was really hard to follow what exactly was going on.

It's funny, because season four is when i started watching it. And I wasn't lost at all. I own 1, 3, 5, and redemtion. And am working on getting the rest. I don't find it hard to follow at all.

So, I just finished tonight's episode. And no surprise, the president agreed to Jack and Bill's plan. No real surprises or twists this episode, except agent Walker's scene in what's his names house lol.

Trying not to spoil anything, as i didn't post in the topic title that there would be spoilers.

Not like you can really spoil an episode of semi-predictable 24 lol
