I use spybot every day, and still I've come into some ridiculous problem. I have no idea where I got these things, but when I boot my computer I always have to shut down processes in my task manager, like rundl32, acrord32, and a bunch of other crap.

I did a system clean from microsoft's website, and everything went away for about a day, and came back. I don't have a virus scan program, and I can't pay for one, so if anyone knows of one/has one for free, I need it!

I have no idea where I got these viruses, and I haven't watched porn in weeks, so I need this fixed asap.

Avast is great:

http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html

AVG Free is pretty good:

http://free.avg.com/download-avg-anti-virus-free-edition

Those are the only two I can think of off the top of my head. On a side note, don't get Ad-Aware, it is actually a trojan, we've got it on this computer now, and have no idea how to get rid of it.
Upon arriving the attending doctor could find no abnormal physical symptoms other than extremely dilated pupils. After spending several hours terrified that his body had been possessed by a demon, that his next door neighbor was a witch, and that his furniture was threatening him, Dr. Hofmann feared he had become completely insane.

Idk if you already do this but before you shut your comp down if you click on 'Run' then type in 'msconfig' and click browse you can get the systems configuration window up, in that window click 'Startup' then disable everything and click ok then shutdown. Next time you turn your com on, no programs will initialise during startup unless you open up the programs yourself. This might help, im not sure.

yeah, go ahead, uncheck everything. not a big deal

massy's dumb but he has the right idea kind of. only uncheck stuff that doesn't seem related to either your programs or are critical windows components, but if you don't know a lot about computers, you shouldn't mess around with that.

if a virus scan doesn't turn up stuff with those other programs try Spybot : Search & Destroy, TrojanRemover and HijackThis.

That’s right, you have the young gaming with the old(er), white people gaming with black people, men and women, Asian countries gaming with the EU, North Americans gaming with South Americans. Much like world sporting events like the Wolrd Cup, or the Olympics will bring together different nations in friendly competition, (note the recent Asian Cup; Iraq vs. Saudi Arabia, no violence there) we come together. The differences being, we are not divided by our nationalities and we do it 24-7, and on a personal level.

We are a community without borders and without colours, the spirit and diversity of the gaming community is one that should be looked up to, a spirit and diversity other groups should strive toward.

oh and TREG massy's actually right nothing in the start up tab is necessary. any windows processes you disable in startup will reenable themselves next time they're needed. the services tab is the one you have to be careful with.

Man you can just go to google and type 'free antivirus program' and get a ton of hits. Did that just never cross your mind?

I always do a regular backup/reformat/reinstall of windows about once every 4 or 5 months to keep everything running smoothly, it only takes about an hour or two. You should probably do the same, especially if you're having problems like this.

Those programs should not be running. I'm guessing the Rundll32 is a virus because its actually a user process, there is a separate one that is a system process.

I got HijackThis last night, and it had apparently worked until just when I opened this page, I got popup attacked.

The MSConfig thing I will do later, I have done it before but I always forget the command to type into the Run bar, "MSCONFIG"

I did search google, but the first thing that came up was Avast, and google tends to throw a lot of crap at you between the goods, so I didn't install it for fear of a fake or shitty program. Clearly I wouldn't be asking for help if I hadn't done everything I could think of.

I got hit bad by a data-ransoming Trojan made by some branch of the Russian Cybermaffia, and subsequently with a Trojan that gave a false-positive virus scan message, locked down Firefox or IE, and tried to reroute me to fake webpages where I would DL more viruses. AVG, Spybot, and so on didn't even see them.

I was able to boot in Networking Safe-Mode, and download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. It's the only freeware package I've heard of that can deal with the heavy-hitters like the friggin Vundo Trojan.

Alternatively, if you trust your own judgement, and can deal with potentially damning your computer, run a search for the suspicious processes on Windows File Info or Google, and snag a File Unlocking Utility that will let you halt, free up, and delete processes, programs, and viral .DLLs that are giving you shit.

If you're a Firefox user I recommend downloading NoScript as a preventative measure. Basically it disables Javascript, Flash, and Java applets from running on sites. You can whitelist sites that you trust to allow normal functionality.

It's quite handy if you trudge through the shadier parts of the interwebs. I haven't got one bit of spyware because of this extension.

I have never once had a virus on this computer and I don't use spyware scanners or virus checkers anymore at all. The best way to stop the viruses is stop downloading so much dodgy shit from dodgy sources.

This pretty much. I got a vundo trojan from downloading a crack for some video game, and it competely fucked my computer so that i had to reformat. I now pay for things.

Im pretty sure you are right, given the fact that the techs who reformatted my pc once put it on there for me.
