First off, I have to say that I support the concept of single parenthood. I am a single parent (not by choice, but that isn't the issue) so I can understand how difficult it is to raise a child without another parental figure present. And, generally speaking, I admire people who manage to pull it off.

That being said, what the fuck was this woman thinking?!

I'm not even sure where to start. The doctors and the clinic involved with the IVF need a serious kick in the nuts, because they helped to create eight children (she was only implanted with six embryos but hey, you gotta love cell division) for a woman who already had six children at home. A single woman with no job. [sarcasm] Because a jobless single parent with six kids already is fully equipped to handle eight more. [/sarcasm]

How does one person feed eight children? I'm not talking about the finances here, I'm talking about the logistics. Babies won't hold their own bottles for a couple of months, so what? The older kids will do it? The mother just won't sleep, I guess. What about clothing? Changing? Bathing? How do you comfort eight screaming babies at once? What about illness? All it takes is one kid with one germ to wind up with 14 sick kids. How do you get 14 sick kids to a doctor's office? How do you afford proper medical care for 14 kids while living in the United States?!

Congratulations, lady, your obsession with babies has led to this. It will be nearly impossible to be completely devoted to 14 children and give all of them the emotional nurturing they need to grow up and be decent, functioning members of society. I have one daughter and it's hard for me sometimes to keep her happy and balanced. How do you cope with these 8 babies when they become toddlers? Toilet training nightmares will ensue.

I have absolutely no sympathy for the mother, buy my heart goes out to the kids. Children's services needs to step in and do something.
