I have a Senses Fail concert I'm going to Friday. They're playing with a few other bands that I really haven't heard of. Except for Hollywood Undead, which is kind of not that good hardcore rock rap. Senses Fail rraarrr.
jesus christ. i mean senses fail is still kinda a GUILTY PLEASURE for me but i would never pay to see them. especially because they're probably playing alot of their ne wstuff which is  a lot more MATH ROCK shredding and fujck that.

I'm probably going to Black Label Society on Mar 17.
Cannibal Corpse if I can find someone to go with is in April.
TV on the Radio in May!

Last year was better for concerts in my area imo

probably won't see anything until summer, when I can't believe I will be driving all the way to Kansas City for warped tour. Most of the bands I've ever paid to see will be there, but the big clinchers are Bad Religion and NOFX, who haven't been out for a few years.

$24.

twenty four dollars.

jesus christ. concerts down here in aus are ridiculous; good luck finding anything, even non-major bands, for less than like 80 bucks. i went and saw the police last february and it was 150 for some seats that were pretty damn far away from the stage!

Yeah, idk, marginal utility. I think the latest album is pretty good. I'm going with a few friends and we're all into the band. The tickets were less than 20 bucks each compared to some of the other concerts, which go up to 35, so I thought, probably worth it.

I don't understand this guilty pleasure nonsense. If like a band I'll say so, I wouldn't be ashamed to say I like their shit.

uh yeah, it's because you're talking about shitty classic rock bands who always cost a ridiculous amount of money. i remember in like 10th grade when i was into CLASSIC ROCK i paid something over-the-top like $60 or $80 to see fucking aerosmith, or around the same to see roger waters last year because my friend had no one to go with. basically i realized most good concerts that aren't for bands that have gone HUUUUGE are in the $10-$20 range. anything past that isn't really worth paying for unless the band is really good  ($30 for AC tickets is also ridiculous but i'd pay for that). a silver mt. zion charged like $12; they said on stage that anyone charging you more than that is pretty much ripping you off.

i'm more pissed off though that it's at a really terrible venue in the middle of nowhere where i never leave satisfied. and that tv on the radio would've been >$15 before dear science came out and got on pretty much every top 2008 list. plus i am poor/going to a lot of concerts so i can't blow that much on every one i go to. the national costs $26, i'm probably going to choose between them or tv.

i doubt non-major bands cost anywhere near 80 dollars or you're probably not looking in the right places?

edit:

oh god

Saw this last night and I have to say, standing a metre away from jon courtney singing the entire contents of amor vincit omnia has to be one of the finest moments in my shitty life.

Everything is so perfect right now.

How were they live? Their live album doesn't sound that good and people constantly say that they don't sound that great live. I'd still love to see them though but they aren't coming to Finland.

That is a fucking myth right there. They were on par with PT live quality, if not better.

The only beef I have is that they did NOT play apprentice of the universe but they played pretty much everything else. It was so so so so so amazing. For £5 the best £5 I ever spent in my life.

Also my life IS totally awesome right now. I used to moan and bitch on here about how I was crap etc but really I have no complaints.

sorry i wasn't clear about it, i meant the sound quality i could enjoy live show a lot if it's a band i really like, even if they don't sound that great live. it's very different experience from listening to a live album.
