isnt there some ip stuff canadians can use to access hulu? seriously dollhouse isn't worth downloading.

this ep was once again okay etc still not worth watching as a show regularly! i kind of dont care about the mysteries behind the show yet BUT i have heard the last ep is set in a terminator future for some reason which is too hilarious not to follow through.

edit:

Quote
In case some of you missed yesterday’s Dollhouse-related Twitstorm, here’s the story in brief: FOX has opted not to show the 13th and final episode of the season, which for now will not be available until the DVD hit stores after Comic-Con in late July. A few things to keep in mind: (1) The 12th episode, “Omega,” reportedly wraps up the season in the manner expected of a conventional finale. The 13th, “Epitaph One,” is apparently something conceptually different, and not as devoted to meat-and-potatoes storytelling. I don’t know if that eases the pain or not, but I’m guessing if we weren’t aware of the 13th episode, we wouldn’t necessarily feel anything was missing. (2) However you want to interpret FOX’s decision not to air the episode, this doesn’t mean the show has been cancelled. Read more about that at Dollverse. (And don’t be shy about letting FOX know you want the show back.) (3) For more detailed information about the contractual zaniness that led to 14 episodes being produced and 12 aired, you can get the full scoop from just about every respectable TV critic in the land. Take your pick.

honestly you have to feel bad for him. like blah blah his other shows etc but man they really just strung him around. like some of our complaints, he had to TAKE BACK. you know how all the dolls are attractive as fuck and all sexy etc? apparently the original plan was to definitely have just every shape and size doll as this would make, you know, sense. like one of the main characters was "tango" a 40 year old woman. but fox killed it.

i dont care much for whedon or his fans but dude really doesn't get a break.

Actually the only that gave his some kind of break was WB with Angel and Buffy or at least more of a break than Fox did (Firefly).

Angel got told it was cancelled with 11 episodes to go I think. It was right after the episode called 'You're welcome'. It was still pretty crud cos Joss made all the huge changes to the show to revitalize it at the networks request and had assumed he would get one more season after 5 which is why the ending was rushed and forced, and why there were alot of other changes like Illyria that were meant to play out more in season 6. I just watched an episode of Angel season 5 the other day though - it wasn't good. It was cool when I was a kid.

Buffy yeah it got cancelled and then picked up by UPN but Buffy really deserved to be cancelled by season 5 and it only went from intermittently annoying and cheesy to consistently awful after that.

Firely just got messed around, and it was actually a pretty good show which would have probably gotten better with time to develop arcs and stuff. The humour in that show was actually funny and the characters were better cos the Joss stereotypes were applied in more interesting ways

Dollhouse is getting messed around a little, but not as bad as Firefly. I'm pretty sure it got changed time slots and was aired out of order. I've never understood why networks do that other than gross negligence and stupidity.

Yeah, for firefly, the order of airing the episodes was completely messed up, most notably was that the last episode that they aired was the pilot episode if I recall correctly.  I don't understand how television stations can think this is a good idea.  Its one thing to tweak the show so that I panders to their perceived audience and whatever, but to completely mess up with the order and timing of a show just tells me that they really didn't give a shit about the integrity of the show at all.   Joss has really had bad luck with television series, but mostly with FOX, which is why I really don't understand why he let them do dollhouse.

The reason why he's at Fox again is because Eliza had a signed deal with them to produce a show, and she contacted Joss to create Dollhouse with her. At least that's what I've heard!

I've never seen Firefly. I kind of want to, I love scifi TV, but I don't want to LIKE it or get into it because there's only 13 episodes or whatever. I did see and enjoy Serenity, I have to admit I kind of like Nathan Fillion, he's a natural at the goofy likeable hero character. He'd make a great Nathan Drake if they ever do an Uncharted movie!!!

this post wasn't about Dollhouse.

If you ever do decide to watch Firefly, make sure to watch it in the correct order and not the order it was aired...

Ok... let me say this in defense of Buffy and Angel.  I didn't get a chance to watch them until about 2 years ago.  After watching season 1 of Buffy, I bought all of its season's plus all of Angel.  I really thought the writing and story were pretty good.  They had a lot of plot twists (ex.  Tara in season 6) and I found it very entertaining.  Firefly was canceled right after it was getting good.  And Dollhouse... well I believe it's going to get the same treatment.

As far as his shows being "good", well that's really a matter of opinion.  To me, it's easy to pick something apart after you've seen all of it (as I do constantly), but for me... the first time watching them... I had a blast.  And will continue to watch them! 8)

haha welp the show is probably dead but looks like whedon is just gonna rush tot he end. i heard rumors like i said that the ending is set in the FUTURE for some reason but yeah last ep actually went somewhere so once again it's a pity how badly fox screwed up what could have been an okay show.

its definitely his worst though and if you think otherwise yikes. like ignore the stupidity of almost everything in the show. the fight sequence was actually boring! the guy who did BUFFY made a boring as fuck fightsequence who knew but no it really was kind of stupid. or how ballard just WALKS in really. I know "whoops there was more to that than met the eye" but come on TOPHER is the only one who catches him and he's there for like hours. whedon is kind of a bad writer sometimes and it shows. like this is still a Pretty Bad Show (but not just a Bad Show or a Terrible Show, these are real ranks look them up...) so I'm not gonna mourn its death, but no one really expects season 2.

OH HOLY SHIT I'M SO FUCKING STUPID

AAAAA GODDAMMIT

okay spoiler if you didn't figure it out:

god i feel dumb for not catching that.

for everything this kind of clever though you can't ignore that joss whedon shoved in the heaviest possible and dumbest metaphor about briar rose that no one can care about for the first half of this ep and it sucked.
