Eliza is over-rated, Summer is pretty but nothing too special but the best chick in Dollhouse so far has been Amy Acker (Dr. Saunders)!

I caught up with this show because there isn't really anything on tv worth watching at all right now.

Anyway yeah, it has been better than it was before. The plotting is stepped up and all of that so there is less of the ECHO DRESSES UP AS A FRENCH MAID AND THEN STABS A MAN WITH HER HIGH HEELS bullshit, because Echo has got stuff to do now. The show is still dumb and cheesy, but it's Joss Whedon so you aren't ever going to get away from this, but I can feel myself at least getting caught up in the sense that this is ending soon so they are just throwing all the ideas they had at the wall and using them whether they stick or not.

There was some talk on another forum about Arcane, in that last episode, being a terrible metaphor for fear. A big black guy is coming to get you from the shadows! Joss has used this kind of potentially racist imagery before on Buffy, and the fact that this guy is one of the worst for casting 7 normal ones and 1-2 'ethnic' ones at best he really doesn't have any wiggle room when people say he is a dumb douche.

i've seen all of dexter. it is okay. the writing is so fucking bad. so much of the dialogue on that show is totally redundant and every plot line that doesn't involve dexter is dead fucking boring. the reason for this is that when you take away the serial killer gimmick and he couple of good actor's the show has, all you have left is the writing and it's terrible. they can't write, at all. either that or they don't think we are capable or deserving of enjoying better stories.

i haven't watched the first two seasons in a while but i heard the writing staff totally changed at the beginning of season 3 and i think i started noticing how terrible the writing was around then so maybe the problem only began there but i can't really remember.

the music is good though, i like the music a whole lot.

The first 2 seasons of dexter weren't written too badlyb as far as tv goes I think. Season 3 and 4 pretty awful with 4 being a lot better than 3. I think 3 is probably some of the worst television I've ever seen

Since this topic has evolved into a discussion of other tv shows, is anyone else watching Fringe? I got into it about a month ago and just finished watching all the episodes. There were a few weak episodes here and there, but I really like all the characters and the overall storyline of the Pattern and the Observers. Other than Dollhouse and the Big Bang Theory, it's the only show I watch on tv right now.

Joss Whedon is awesome. Buffy The Vampire Slayer is one of the most entertaining television series' that has ever existed. Also, he helped with the screenplay for Toy Story.
