If anything they could probably make a minigame of it or force QTEs on it all.  Or... they could make the game compatible with the PSEye/ Live Camera and you can use your hands to virtually do these things yourself.  HO HO!

It looks like a cool feature at first, but god damn it'd be tedious after awhile.

hmm the cops are after me, I need to get into a good sniping position... shit now I need to assemble my rifle using dual analogue like plying those grabber games you get at the seaside...

Adding random minigames like that are dumb. With pool/darts/bowling it's very easy to see the poijnt and effect, but nah not dumb gimmicky minis

You should try it in real life. It's even more tedious.

I reckon the DS is more suited to those minigames, the PS3 version would just be a pain in the ass to have to do those things.

Plus the top-down camera is a pain. I'm just fine if this stays DS exclusive to be honest. Just give us some DLC GTAIV chapter or something.

Got this working on my Supercard SD with a little rom rebuilding, changing the ARM binaries. I have to say that it is actually fucking awesome and totally worth the £17 off play.com if you're thinking of splashing out on it DO SO it is so fun.

Additional notes for DS Phat owners:
You may find that the bottom and top screen seem a little dim and that its more difficult to navigate cause you have to tilt your DS a little each time when you look at alternate screens. If you go PDA > System Settings you can alter brightness and add radar to the top screen (arrows appear on the middle of roads and the icons are around the outside of the screen). The brightness fix means that you no longer have to tilt the DS. I guess this is something rockstar took into consideration when testing on the older DS which makes them rather CARING as developers if you ask me. Alternate brightness settings on a DS Phat!? If only other developers thought of this!

Well friggin A.  According to another site there IS both local & WiFi multiplayer complete with details of a few of them.  This back and forth on what it may or may not have needs to be cleared up.

Though I suppose I'll know for sure next week either way. :P

This game has so many little innovations in it which makes a change when you consider another certain R* production that had better graphics but dumbed down features compared to previous installments.

Since I don't have money, emulation is the only way for me to go at this point probably.

I totally agree with Ed (who showed me how to change the ARM binaries in the first place), this game is fucking A.

Everything works perfectly, the top down, the cell shaded style, the minigames. It all meshes together into an absolutely fantastic game.

Life would be so much more entertaining right now if I hadn't left my charger at my parents. Doh :(

I will be purchasing this... and a charger when it is released. Good job I have lots of work to do this week or I would be so gutted right now haha.

I'll be picking it up after work tomorrow.  A  Wal Mart around here broke the street date and a co-worker of mine has it, went to Wal Mart to try and get it after work tonight and they apparently caught their mistake and pulled the game until tomorrow.

Played it, it is simply fantastic. The only few issues I had with it was that the cutscenes, while colorful just felt kind of....bland, also some of the touch screen mini games weren't reading my stylus movements. I don't know if its my touch screen or not, but it is pretty rare though and a tiny blemish on what is a surprisingly great game.

It is pretty fun, I've made a ton of cash taking on some advantageous drug deals.  I managed to get like 50 units of weed on the cheap somewhere and sold it to someone paying "premium" for the stuff and got almost 40k in one shot.  Did a similar thing with some coke and managed another 20k.  I've bought out like, four safe houses on top of that.  I've been spending time trying to complete side objective though, like crashing through billboards and taking out security cameras but on the way I tend to find these blue swirling vortex things but can't figure out what they're for or what can be done with them.  Any ideas?

Also, people keep telling me there is a tank out at the airport, but I can't find it and I swear I've been all over that place.  And also figured out that hijacking Ammu-Nation trucks isn't worth it.  The first time I was successful with it, I wasted two or three molotovs, was nearly killed when the driver got out and came after me with a shotgun (took him out with a molotov) and after hijacking it, spent quite some time to get back to my safehouse (this was before I bought so many so it was a long trek) and managing a three star cop chase on the way which was hard enough and nearly had the truck ready to blow from the damage it took.  When I got to my safehouse and opened up the cargo bay I was awarded with...  a friggin handgun.  All that BS and I got a handgun?  So yeah, I don't even bother with that side objective anymore.  At least drop me a minigun which is rare so early in the game unless you pick it up in one of the rare missions that has it.

@Kezay: No idea either, I was wondering too. :(

Also how do you take out these security cameras? Where are they? I was told TAKE 'EM OUT WITH MOLOTOVS, but I can't seem to see any around any of my dealers.
