Nothing, it is incredibly admirable. The problem is that being grossly underpaid and underappreciated your entire career tends to wear people down.

I know a girl who is wrapping up her education certificate working with a local highschool and a couple faculty members, in her words, "quarter-jokingly" told her to escape while she still can.

If I remember correctly, they said something to the tune of "You're young, healthy, and not a single gray hair on your head. You've got so much to lose."

highschool teaching is prolly alright if you teach in a fancy prep school,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,.,....,,,..,,...,,.., the pay is utter shit but i suppose people would be more receptive than inner city children strugglin with more important things than gettin an A in stupid american history class

i studied in an out of the mill state school and i would never want to teach there ever

Lucky ass! You will fucking love it up there. Both my parents went and i have a cousin that goes there now and everyone I know that goes there loves it. It's a really great school, and also, Boulder is one of the biggest party cities in the United States, if not the biggest.

What's funny is everyone thinks that, but Boulder is nothing compared to FoCo (Fort Collins) CSU baby!! That's where I wanna go. But I'm going to Metro State for my bachelors because I'm broke as a joke haha.
