i'm on a really shitty internet connection so the whole movie isn't loading, but something about the graphics and world environment remind me of FF8. anyone else see it?

I fucking hated the first Zelda DS! I played it for ages 'cause I was lying to myself thinking "It's Nintendo, it's Zelda. It HAS to be good. I'm just not trying to like it hard enough!". Then I wised up. Sailing around and having to redo the same dungeon over and over just bored the SHIT outta me! And I don't like the looks of this stupid train thing!

NINTENDO! I just want the same old shit over and over with new graphics/music! CAN'T YOU UNDERSTAND THAT!? If I want a new gameplay experience, I'll play a different game series! Stop fucking about and just get on with a traditional Zelda game! Don't listen to all these wankers with their "There's no innovation in games" bullshit! No one WANTS innovation! We want the same old shit in a new shirt! NOW FUCKING GIVE IT TO US!

I think the main thing that killed my love for TP was the bland overworld and that it felt very linear... more than any previous Zelda to my recollection. Also it pissed me off how lame the forest was in TP compared to how open they made it look in the earlier trailers.

they need to change up the Zelda game formula more. i've played pretty much all the Zelda games, and i've always thought they were at least decent. A Link to the Past, Phantom Hourglass, Twilight Princess... those were all pretty good. Ocarina of Time was really good. but my favorite is Majora's Mask, because it was just so different from all the other games. I think rather than changing up the transportation in these new Zelda games, they need to do more with the setup of the games. i want another Majora's Mask styled Zelda game :D
semper games.

Man, a copy of Link to the Past but with different graphics/levels/whatever would be so bad-ass. It wouldn't matter what people said about it, it would rock and everyone would love it.

If you are hearing this Nintendo, just make it. Think about it: People will buy it, and you will make money. What more do you need?

LttP with Phantom Hour Glass's graphics! Oh and Link's Awakening! Fucking loved Link's Awakening. I cried at the ending. Well I didn't really, but if I was a girl I probably would have.

My favourites were Oracle of Ages/Seasons and Links Awakening. They should drop the cartoon Link and talking boat stuff. Make more games like TP and OoA/OoS and LA.

Nintendo should put voiceover to the character of LOZ and put an emo-er Ganondorf and call the game Final Fantasy the legend of Zelda. FFLOZ. It has a ring to it...

But... but then what do they about the people that complain that stuff in Zelda games is too same-y?  Wind Waker was apparently too different, Twilight Princess not different enough.  The next game should just have a huge middle finger in the end credits and be like "bitch, how you like me now?"

Wind Waker wasn't too different. It was too SHITE! Okay, it was an excellent game... UNTIL YOU SET SAIL!

In other words it would've been better if it was just a cut scene with that boat chatting away once for every new location. Well, maybe.

Aslong as the story is entertaining I can handle a same-y game. And I can run over the enemies with the train i'm okay with it.
A tool is a tool regardless. I mean if you suck, you suck, and not even the most perfect tool could save you. And if your damn good then even with the worst tool ever conceived you could chug out some high quality shit.

No, in other words it'd be better if there no boat and no sea.

You should have played the game to the end. The boat and the sea were completely necessary .

All of the tedious sailing and the annoying talking boat all became completely worth it once I realised how much the ending pissed off my freind.

I never got the dissent that "core" Zelda fans had towards Wind Waker's ending.  Hell, the last hour of the game is awesome.  Ganondorf's little dialogue with Link, Daphnes screwing over Ganondorf when the Triforce was "right there" and the flooding of Hyrule.  It almost makes me question why many of these same fans wanted Link to die at the end of Twilight Princess.  Make up your minds people.

The gamecube version is better, because the Wii is very awkward.

I loved that ending.
