Let's watch The Wire. Let's do it. It is a really good TV show about crime, the law and the corruption of both in the modern American city. Let's do it. Here is the intro from the first episode:

So we'll start this and watch a couple each week but let's see who is gonna watch it first.

Yeah we'll start at the start. let's wait a day or two until we see who is gonna respond then we'll start a day or two after that and on the same day each week till the end of the first season so that's 12 weeks i think of 1 hour a week for a great show, and we'll all come here to post about the ep at some point during the week. It should be alot of fun.

mmmmm one ep a week? man this isn't like LOST is it where it's stupid cliffhangers all the time? because if it is i dunno if i can keep it to one ep a week if i torrent the entire season at once.

no there's no cliffhangers. I watched most of Season 1 on chemo and they're all linked and you obviously want to know what happens next but I don't remember any eps of OH NO HES BEEN SHOT TUNE IN NEXT WEEK.

That’s right, you have the young gaming with the old(er), white people gaming with black people, men and women, Asian countries gaming with the EU, North Americans gaming with South Americans. Much like world sporting events like the Wolrd Cup, or the Olympics will bring together different nations in friendly competition, (note the recent Asian Cup; Iraq vs. Saudi Arabia, no violence there) we come together. We are a community without borders and without colours, the spirit and diversity of the gaming community is one that should be looked up to, a spirit and diversity other groups should strive toward.

Sorry I totally forgot about this. I won't be able to watch season 1 until next month but I remember enough of it I'll be able to make many posts about the show.

I'm watching season 1 right now, I'm on ep 5 I think. It is a pretty good show once you start getting used to the characters and the dialogue ( I remember hearing a lot of remarks about needing a translator for the show because of all the "authentic" dialogue, it's mostly just some slang I've never heard before).

Idris Elba is in this too!

WHY SO SERIOUS HAHAHAHHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAA

I've hear a lot of good things about this show, but never had access to it (by regular means). I will surely pick it up though if you totally insist. In fact, one of the guys from the show was interviewed on NPR, and it sounded like a very decent show. And I believe everything NPR tells me.

this show is really good. i'm on episode 3 now. idk, i don't have any trouble at all understanding the slang! maybe its cuz i grew up in all black neighborhoods, first in DC then in VA?? (all black ppl talk the same)

no but seriously, unless you're some country club white guy who's never seen a black person who wasn't on TV i don't see how anyone would have trouble understanding the dialogue
