This game looks pretty rad and I am looking forward to getting it. Hopefully I will have a new video card by then so I can get it on PC, but the xbox screenshots don't look like they're gimped or anything. looks kind of like POST-APOCALYPTIC GTA IV really but I like what they seem to be doing with it, and i really like big open-ended environments where you can cause lots of destruction.

are any of you keeping up with this game at all

That’s right, you have the young gaming with the old(er), white people gaming with black people, men and women, Asian countries gaming with the EU, North Americans gaming with South Americans. Much like world sporting events like the Wolrd Cup, or the Olympics will bring together different nations in friendly competition, (note the recent Asian Cup; Iraq vs. Saudi Arabia, no violence there) we come together. The differences being, we are not divided by our nationalities and we do it 24-7, and on a personal level.

We are a community without borders and without colours, the spirit and diversity of the gaming community is one that should be looked up to, a spirit and diversity other groups should strive toward.

the loading screen on the site is really bad and i have no idea why the screenshots are all 200*75.

i am mostly interested in this game because it looks like it's actually polished though (not just SHINY but uh it has decent visuals, a plot that isn't cringe-inducing, and gameplay that looks pretty fun). those are the only games i buy anymore

also the protagonist has the ugliest jacket imaginable.

The website seemed pretty laggy (might just be my connection) so I looked this up -

Looks like Crackdown on crack...which is a good thing.

I've been watching this for a while. I was wondering when someone would post a topic about this game. (I would have but I'm lazy and not so good at topic making)

I'm excited about it. I had the same good feeling about this game's debut trailer that I got from Dead Space's debut trailer.

It is developed by Radical Entertainment, which has a rocky track record, at best. It will probably be bad.

That boxart is also very uninspiring.

I was so happy to see that this is going to be on the PC.  It seems a lot like inFamous, but that game is a ps3 exclusive.

Watching the guy run up walls, then glide to other buildings was what interested me.  It's kind of like Assassin's Creed (which I absolutely loved), but with powers.

Yeah, I really want to like this, I REALLY do but I don't have high hopes for it. The latest trailer I've seen looks v. unpolished. :(

yeah it looks like shit but maaaan since they're apparently NOT ALLOWED to make crackdown 2 i will be honest i had a really really strong love for that game because i am actually a five year old baby idiot who loves jump around kill dude i guess so i was kind of hoping it wouldn't be shit.

too bad it will be shit according to every sign! i was somewhat remotely excited for this though which is the strongest i get for vidcons as of late.

@Steel: Yeah I loved Crackdown a lot more than I should have. It is delightful fun. According to rumours Crackdown 2 is in development tho! APB is out soon, which looks to sort of be an online Crackdown... sort of yeah ok not really. Still I really want this to be good because it's like Crackdown minus colours and plus alien powers, but I really don't hold out much hope.

actually, the Top 10 Reasons you must have Prototype looks a lot cooler than the official commercial trailers etc. It shows a lot more interesting gameplay so I would watch that if you've only watched the dumb 'official release trailers' etc.

I like the soldier screaming PUT ME DOWN, and i really like the part with THE PATSY.

To me it looks like GTA but more deep and with better special effects

Ive always liked powers more than guns too so I'll probably buy this on PS3 and xbox360
