I downloaded the full package and extracted it. The dll is in the same directory as well.

It's cool though, I've got XP as a backup OS so I'll try it on that.

Can't play it. :(

ERROR in action number 1 of Create Event for object sxms:
Error defining an external function.

Tried different compatibility modes but nothing worked. Google had no answers. Pretty sure it's because I'm on W7.

Oh, I get what you mean now.

Usually when you showcase that talent you can get somebody to do the other things for you.

What ragnar.

james, pretty much everything goes into the addiction/fun factor. There are certain aspects that you can add to a game to increase that addiction factor, but fun is just creating good design. None of the shit you add like a millions unlocks is gonna make a game fun. You just have to know what you're doing. Just go play Spelunky, those facebook games (apparently these games work somehow), and open world games!

Things people care about:

-Screenshots
-Videos
-Download Link

Things people don't care about:
-Walls of text coming from a programmer/math teacher
-Text
-More Text

basically you don't talk about your design process because that's boring as shit. It's boring making it so it's even more boring discussing it!

how abstract, ragnar.

You could probably write a book on this abstract game stuff. I wonder what goes on in your head sometimes.

I like ff12 and ff13, but they are both only 'okay' for completely opposite reasons. They both had the potential to be the best ff games but they really messed up during development.

http://ferricide.livejournal.com/884751.html

Probably the best review/rant about the game (and series in general).

Naufragar.

Also, only a few of their games are good. The only foreign game I really enjoy is Velsarbor. This game isn't fun to me, but the art added a little flair to the game. It was never finished or translated. And I'm not sure if it's still being worked on.

Corfaisus, you might also want to try Peuteris Grey if you haven't. Lachsen made the battle system for that as well. IMO, he is the only person who has ever made a working custom battle system in RM.

I know exactly what game you're talking about. It's not an english game, it was french (pretty sure).

I will let you know if I still have it or can find it.

Other issues aside, I don't really understand why S-E doesn't do an FF7 remake. I know it would be expensive at all, but it is also a sure-fire hit.

FF7 is the #1 selling PSOne classic on the Playstation Store, with millions of sales, so there is definitely an audience. I don't know what the sell-through would need to be for an FF7 remake to be profitable, but I'm sure they'd sell at least 2 million.

It's just kind of weird. The modern game industry is seriously risk-averse and publishers don't like to take chances. An FF7 remake seems much less risky than all of the other projects S-E has going on, like the various FF13 spinoffs in development.
FF13 took 5 years to make and has no towns, minigames, worldmap, or exploration. It is literally a dungeon crawler.

Imagine how long it would take them to remake FF7 in the same quality. If they could do it, they would!

Welcome back, Legacy. :)

If this is the same one I received, then the game crashes after the battle with Primus (which is the last battle anyway so whatever). Maybe you fixed that and Vanguard before you left?

Anyways, this game rocks. It's the best. I love it.

Old version is better because it actually has life to it. The art on the walls, objects, etc make it more interesting.

But yeah, if you can get that in the 3d version then mayyybe.

Yeah I like the interview. Enterbrain was actually going to create english copies of RPG Maker 2000 and 2003. They sent out a survey to a few RM sites to see the interest in doing it (specifically for 2003), which is what Don was referring to I guess.

Also made some good friends with this program, like don said. It is so nice I love you all :(((( :fogetcry:

Sort of, I haven't even touch the battle system yet (There are only two working skills, those being attack and sight see) anyway here's a shitty preview

Speaking about battle system anyone know how i can get rid of the "Row" command all together,
not just in the menu but in the battle command window as well?

Hi, your game looks good. Your wish has been granted.
