Keep returning to this place, probably because this forum was like my first forum ever. Registered here when I was 11, promptly got banned by DS when I got mad at Hiret for calling my stupid pacman clone shit (it was pretty shit). Nowadays, I am actually doing some proper game development and general programming, so I hope to share projects/knowledge/whatever here once again...

Yoyogames screwed up the whole point of Gamemaker, to create some cool games, to, "Hey there kids! Want to make a game! Ok open up this example and change the graphics and sounds! Here is your fun game!!!1".

Thankfully the creator's full name, Albert Zak, has been published everywhere and will undoubtedly show up in Google for many years to come, which means no serious design bureau would consider hiring him for anything other than licking envelopes.

Hammer and ball was the original logo for Gamemaker.
