I love the way that

Was this a limited release or something? I certainly don't remember reading that it was, but it certainly seems it that way. I'd intended to see the film over break, but it looks like I might have to wait until next month to see it at the theater near campus. Maybe I should use the time to read McCarthy's novel?

It's good to have the Coen Brothers around again.

There is no longer room for absolute originality in the field of [art], especially given that our generation was brought up on mass-produced [art]. All stories and techniques inevitably bring with them a sense of déjà vu. The only avenue of expression left open to us is to produce a collage-like effect based on a sampling of existing works.

Well, I'm a sucker from anything even remotely related to Arrested Development, so seeing Bateman and Cera in the previews for this film gave me a legitimate boner. I'd love to see it, but apparently Dallas has firmly cemented itself as a cultural wasteland in the three or so months that I spent away from it, so I might have to drive unnecessarily far to see films like this. Oh well.

I'm still not entirely sold on this project, but dear God do I want to be. Admittedly, it's far too early to truly judge this game so I can't be too disappointed but... I'll just say that it'd better play like a dream. It's already far removed from what I imagined (and hoped for) from an visual perspective, but that doesn't make the game. After all, for all its beauty, SFIII has endured the past decade because of the complexity of its gameplay.

Those characters are comically bulky, however.

...On an unrelated note, I slept with a girl that looked just like Jamie-Lynn, so when I saw her picture with "I'm Pregnant!" superimposed on it, I had a momentary OH SHIIIIIIIIIIIIT moment. :rite:

Hmmm... maybe you should head to Mexico. You know, just in case. There, you can impregnate all the underaged girls that you want without being reprimanded. It's encouraged, even.

And, of course, there are unheralded success stories behind ill-timed pregnancies such as this one. My mother had me when she was 16, and here I am today... a college student. Well, mostly. I do attend college, but hell if I can afford it. They'll probably kick me out soon, actually. She'd probably help me pay for it if she had a job. Or wasn't trapped in a emotionally stifling relationship with an uneducated boor. I can definitely read though, and I'm pretty good around the toilet.

I like to consider myself as a true, all-American success story :)
